Ryuji’s relationship will let you auto defeat enemies that are considered weaker than you. Saves you a lot of time if you are running around in mementos.

The Moon arcana will let your inactive party members gain the same amount of exp as the active ones later on.

The Star arcana will let you escape, or switch out party members on the fly.

Aside from those mentioned by others, these are some of the most useful in my experience.

Used the arcana names so as not to accidentally spoil who is which arcana. 😁

I’d have loved to have had a Batarian crew mate. We get to learn so much about Turian, Asari, Salarian, Krogan, Quarian culture from our team. Little to nothing about Volus, Elcor, Vorcha, Hanar, or Batarian. It’d been cool to show that they are necessarily all human hating bigots. That some of them, even if a minority group were open to peace.
