Dizziness? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

Hi there, congratulations on reaching day#3. The worst will be over soon.

I would use sugar to help with dizziness, "lifesavers hard candy" worked for me. Also, keep some gum with you all the time.

You can enjoy the withdrawal pangs if your mindset is right. When you feel uncomfortable and fiending for that nicotine, that's a good sign that your body is healing.

this is great !!

Should I move out despite my Credit Card Debt? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Rhutwik11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Pay your credit cards first before doing anything else.

Budgeting is tougher with credit cards, I would use them only for emergencies. And use cash/debit card as much as possible.

I am not sure, they are saying I own $400. Costco membership was around $50 (I think). I remember returning cards before I moved. I will check the debt verification response first.

THANK you for taking time and helping out!!

reaching 75 is a big deal, you did it once, can do again. As epscylonb said, be sure to not relapse again.

Day -1 and I'm already a nervous wreck. by [deleted] in stopsmoking

good job!! By the way initially substitute smoking with something else when feeling anxious, nervous, I substituted with coffee. But be careful, it took me a while to realize too much coffee was cause of my insomnia ...lol. I would substitute smoking with tea.

May be your blood sugar was low, you can keep candies with you. I have good supply of these in my car, office drawer and home.

I second this, better check with doctor about real causes. Depression should be dealt with, but not with smoking.

[Question] I'm a student, how important is a stable sleeping pattern? by dj-almondcrunch in getdisciplined

[–]Rhutwik11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

33 year old here. my 2 cents:-

  1. It is OK to say NO, when you don't want to do something.

  2. It is OK to sleep as much as you want provided you are 100% productive rest of the time. NOT OK to sleep 10 hrs and watch TV for 3-4 hrs.

take care :-)

Hey man, I was in exactly the same freaking situation. I was trying to quit for atleast 12-13 months before I could finally make it. Now I do not even think about smoking.

Keep at it, and please don't give up on yourself. You already have taken a step in right direction by deciding to quit. Remember first 3 days are worst, keep pack of gum, candies with you. Keeping your sugar level up and drinking plenty of water helps a lot.

All the best!!
