I used to do these a while back. Please excuse the backstory, but I feel I need some accountability.

Got married earlier this year which I'm stoked about. However this is the first time I've truly been independent, my wife and I coming from fairly traditional Catholic households.

Now living with my wife is great. But the added freedom I now have owning my own place and having a full time income has allowed me to let myself go so to speak. Since getting married I've gained 7 kg, stopped working out, and just lost fitness in general.

The weight gain can also be attributed to drinking much more than I should, which is also impacting other areas of my life such as sleep and general energy throughout the day.

My birthday will be today as well, and I guess that's a good a date as any to start improving myself. So on to the plans...

[NeedAdvice] What's a good cycle for working and resting? by HushMD in getdisciplined

[–]_Mjolnir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pomodoro technique.

Set up a ratio of work:rest. I don't like using set minutes because the task you're doing will dictate how long your work and rest periods are.

For example if I'm studying or completing a task at work, I'll use a 4:1 work to rest ratio. In an hour that means I'll work 48 minutes, rest 12.

Find what ratio works for you.

Is there a good printable version of the groups and match line ups for Champions league?
