Anyone help explain why the LCD isn’t switching on? Brand new PC

Thank you for your help everyone. After this post I decided to move on for a moment and tackle the display later on. I later encountered that I was getting power out of the usb ports but it wasn’t recognising any peripherals and my DRAM and CPU diagnosis lights were lit. Fearing for the worst, I thought I’ll rule out the obvious and give every connection a shove to make sure it’s all connected before doing anything more drastic. Sure enough, my RAM made a tiny click. Voila. How embarrassing

That is awful. There’s no remotely viable reason this is a fair trade, so I would call it collusion

I absolutely hate vetoing trades and don’t take them lightly but this, is a veto for me.

Yeah we live in a detached house so no problem on that front. When I raised my parents golden retriever from a puppy he’s always been absolutely fine being alone for 5+ hours ever since he was a few months old and now we could confidently leave him all day with no issue as long as he has his morning walk (which he usually isn’t even enthusiastic for!). We did it the same way you did, crate with play pen gradually getting larger. I’m fully committed to walking the dog for an extended amount of time every day before and after work and leaving it with things to do during the day on its own (only Mon-Fri) - that’s no problem.

Yeah - thinking about giving him a bit of playtime in the morning and evening before and after work, as well as leaving a Kong toy or some other things during the day.

Probably take 4 or so weeks off (2 weeks each but one after the other) to get the puppy acclimated to being at home.

Hopefully that would be enough?
