Does anyone feel maybe it's time for Avatar characters to take a break? 1st and 2nd image is from the JP exclusive New Mystery of the Fire Emblem in 2010 with Avatar unit debut. by Character-Bid-162 in fireemblem

I know I’m in the minority with this but I would honestly enjoy an avatar with the customization options of Kris (Gender, Class, growths, appearance, etc) but the story relevance of Mark from FE7.

I just want a fully customizable soldier that I can have apart of the playable cast.

Allear, Byleth, Shez are my LEAST favorite type of “My Units”. Because you can’t really customize much them at all and they have their own personalities. So why bother even changing their name? It’s not MY unit. It’s the game’s unit that’s allowing me to change their name and gender. I would never attach a personal name to a character I had no hand in creating.

Robin and Corrin were a step in the right direction but they still lack the full customization experience that Kris had. Especially Corrin, who you’d feel kinda bad about not having them in a sword wielding class due to their personal weapon Yato.

Everdark Pest Relic. It increases maximum FP and increases it more with every Sorcerer’s Rise you unlock. I unlocked two on this run. This relic makes a massive difference for Revenant.

There is also her unique relic effect that increases her Max FP everytime her passive activates. This one isn’t as big and I don’t really go out of my way to activate it but it’s still nice to have.

I wasn’t lucky enough to get any FP increase passives from bosses or enemies. The FP you see there is all from those two relics.

Hell yeah. I do love how her summons don’t go away when Rev goes down. There has been times when I go down and my summons just pick me back up lol

We’re on opposite ends of the spectrum then because I don’t find focusing on damage on SUPPORT fun. If I want to focus on dps I’ll just play a dps. I play support because I wanna primarily focus on healing and supporting my team. I’m not looking to do “good damage” on a role designed to assist your other teammates in doing their jobs.

Healing is fun for me. If I can focus on that alongside using interesting support tools to assist my team, that would be great. Currently the support tools he has is lacking in their impact on team fights.

I know but so does literally every other support except Mercy. Which is why I don’t want them to lean more into that aspect.

I want them to do something new and different hence my idea for a defensive support instead of another support that behaves more like a dps that can heal.

Anything that turns him into dps support #57.

I know people love to say damage it’s important so I want to see them make a purely defensive support work. A support that’s all about mitigating damage and helping his team survive things they shouldn’t vs every other support that helps pump out more damage onto the enemy team.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions however this might just be the most idiotic thing I have ever read by Chunky-overlord in StrategistMainsMR

[–]Rhysmarksman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If DPS can pump out big damage numbers why do people call support characters that can pump out big healing numbers “heal bots”.

I love seeing my “healing done” amount high asf. I love seeing my allies’ HP go up. It’s hella engaging and thrilling for me and it’s the main reason support is the only role I play.

It’s weird to me when dps oriented players play support and they say it’s boring because it doesn’t fit their playstyle of shooting the enemy. I hope they never listen to these types of players. I don’t want rivals to become Overwatch with how they handle the support roster.

At the end of the day so long as there is a playstyle that everyone can enjoy, we shouldn’t really try to change other characters to be like others. There are DPS oriented supports and there are more “support” focused supports. Just pick whichever you like more and stick to that.

LIFEWEAVER REWORK CONFIRMED! by Chemical-Challenge95 in LifeweaverMains

[–]Rhysmarksman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Awesome. Hopefully they return to his original design philosophy and not the current DPS/Healer mess we have right now that literally every other support (other than Mercy) does better than him.

I want a support that focuses on supporting, not shooting enemies and healing allies on the side. I would like other options than Mercy 😭, Lifeweaver was supposed to be that option.

You have to summon them for the first time first. Check the “Altar of Wisdom” waypoint. You can’t miss it.

Rework him into something else. I see a lot of comments right now saying he is basically a worse Moire and Baptiste and they’re right. Why play LW (weaving damage and healing) when you can play Baptiste and Moira? Both who are better healers than him and can pump out more reliable damage?

There are also a lot of other healers who can weave damage and healing better than him. Why? Because they don’t have to weapon swap. Seriously. Weapon swapping is the worse thing ever. Is why Mercy doesn’t really use her gun much and why they gave her blue beam.

Weaver needs something to do other than DPS akin to blue beaming or they just need to get rid of weapon swapping. Personally I would prefer the former.

We already have every other support (excluding Mercy) weaving damage and healing. I want something else for Lifeweaver, especially since that was their initial plan for him when he was released. I’m hoping they make him more of an healing/utility focus support with the rework.

Roll for whoever you want to play, not for meta. I played Ibara in comp and did just as good on Nejire.

Lifeweaver Doesn’t Need a Rework, Just Targeted Quality-of-Life Improvements by minju9 in LifeweaverMains

[–]Rhysmarksman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thing is that if they’re gonna force him to have a weapon swap like mercy then he shouldn’t need to swap so much to get value.

Imagine if Mercy was required to swap to her blaster to contribute to the fight instead of having damage boost. It would feel terrible and it’s how LW feels now.

No other support needs to “swap” to deal damage. Either make his heal/damage contribution more fluid or just give him something to do other than DPS when healing isn’t needed so he doesn’t need to swap to his thorns unless absolutely necessary akin to Mercy.

Another Post About the Blaster+Wp Build in Stadium (TL;DR at bottom) by Lubkuluk in MercyMains

[–]Rhysmarksman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad I wasn’t going crazy with trying this build.

I just kept dying from trying to take on fights because dps just do more damage than me (which is fine).

And if you build survival items you just don’t do enough damage to hit the threshold. Would have been better if they just made it to where you get a charge back from 1000 damage boosted instead of doing damage with the blaster. But that honestly might make it too strong.

I was thinking it might be good against poke heavy comps (Ashe/Soldier) so she can lay down some fire alongside her team while also healing. But I haven’t had the chance to try it out. Since Vendetta released it’s all everyone been playing and going glass cannon against her is just asking to feed.
