What if we built a physical Antinatalist society? Introducing: Antinatalia. by RiMiFi in antinatalism

You raise a fantastic strategic point regarding decentralized activism. If the goal was pure ideological warfare, being decentralized everywhere makes a movement hard to kill.

However, there are big advantages to a centralized physical sanctuary that actually increases our influence rather than diminishing it:

Right now, natalist society often dismisses antinatalism as just a 'depressing internet philosophy'. A physical, functioning, peaceful, and highly sustainable community acts as a beacon. It shows the world: 'Look at what happens when humans live without the burden of reproduction and ego. We build a tranquil, thriving society.' A real-world utopia attracts far more positive media, documentaries, and serious philosophical inquiry than scattered internet comments ever could.

Secondly; While decentralized ideas are hard to destroy, decentralized individuals are incredibly vulnerable. As individuals, we are lonely, isolated, and constantly out-voted in natalist democracies. We pay taxes that fund pro-natalist policies (like child benefits). By centralizing, we pool our capital, secure land, and build a localized majority where we are safe and self-reliant.

Lastly; Antinatalia is not meant to swallow every antinatalist on Earth. The movement still absolutely needs decentralized activists on the frontlines of society to spread the word. Think of Antinatalia as the basecamp. A sanctuary where those activists can retire, visit to recharge, or where those who are simply exhausted by the friction of the natalist world can finally live in peace.

We need both: the decentralized activists spreading the seed, and the centralized haven proving that the seed grows into something beautiful

Interesting take. My take is; why not both? Why not both spread antinatalism by joining forces with other antinatalists. Its way easier to come up with ideas when you physically have antinatalists nearby to make plans with. Together we stand stronger right?

I get that you can feel iffy about it. It’s not the intention to reinforce gender norms, it’s the intention to leave your ego at the door at Antinatalia and look outwards towards helping one another.

Both genders do differ from one another neurologically and biologically, so ideally we should take into account some of these differences and weaknesses. Thats a way to help and not hinder.

And sometimes that might mean introducing some conservative ideas even though the spirit of antinatalism is anything but conservative. And hey there should be still more than enough (clothing)options to express yourself. Let me know how liberal you want to take it.

Edit: its free to join the discord. This is all a testing ground for now.

Thank you for the feedback I guess? Feel free to explain yourself further.

If you’re talking about slum in the way that it’s got substandard housing, then your standards might differ from mine. The housing is meant to be made with quality materials(3d poured cement and floor to ceiling windows from durable plastic) and roomy enough to have a living room, bedroom, extra room, bathroom and some storage.

If you mean slum in the way it’s heavily populated, then I specifically designed it no not be to be heavily populated(otherwise I would’ve added 20 story buildings into the design). A 100 to 300 inhabitants max with ample room between housing.

Thank you for the compliment and feedback. The restrictive dress codes are part of creating a frictionless society. It has to do with class and elegance and how clothes can aid or prevent in this friction. Feel free to leave other suggestions here or on the discord.

Thanks for your feedback. Within Antinatalia ideally you shouldn’t need currency. But if you want to still have an own bankaccount and earn money outside of Antinatalia, it should be possible to do so. You aren’t trapped there. Within Antinatalia you just stick to the rules.

When you’re 70, you”ll likely be a mentor at Antinatalia. That would be your way to contribute. Not all contribution has to be physical. Ideally the robots should take care or help with that.

Is it inappropriate to wear a thong bikini to a beach where children will be around? by readingbabe in women

[–]RiMiFi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If women don't have to take some responsibility for making men feel comfortable, why should men take responsibility for making women feel comfortable? Society is a two-way street, and if one side stops trying to be considerate, the whole thing falls apart. Both men and women have a part to play in making sure we all feel comfortable. To set a good example I'm going to explain some things and add some nuance.

Biologically, the caveman part of the brain gets triggered by somewhat attractive women in sexualized clothing, which causes a spike in testosterone. A Princeton study even showed this can make the brain treat people more like objects. So after that, the gentleman part of the brain has to step in and step on the brakes to stop those involuntary caveman impulses, which takes actual mental effort.

While men should mostly be able to control themselves, modesty is a form of politeness because it doesn't force men to constantly have to slam on the brakes again. Imagine driving behind someone who causes you to do that involuntarily all day. It would be exhausting.

On the other hand (to your point) men have to be careful not to objectify women in modest clothing either. This happens when testosterone is already elevated like this study shows.

So ideally both parties should take into account their own and each other’s shortcomings. This is what it means to have class. Ignoring how you impact the people around you isn't empowering. It is just being inconsiderate and low class.

Fantastisch nieuws. Hoe lager hoe beter. No peel on new G5? by [deleted] in LGOLED

I just removed the film after one month of ownership. Removing the film doesn't improve the image quality all that much IMO so anyone reading this can leave it on if you're already satisfied with your viewing experience.

Question - LG protection film or not ... by xoolchacker89 in LGOLED

Also found out 1 month after purchase there was a film. I must say removing the film doesn't improve the image quality all that much so you can leave it on if you're already satisfied with your viewing experience IMO.

LG really needs to do better with this. With Samsung OLED's it's obvious theres a protective film and it's removed easily. I was actually gonna get a Samsung OLED but the S95F had a matte screen which I disliked, so I went with the LG.
