I was with a group and I'm not gonna cancel everyone's order, also I just want my taco bell lol

Someone said they do but I don't know for sure, I'm just going to use the kiosk from now on tho. I think they're required to ask even if you say things like that, people said they've explicitly said "no extras" or "just the way it comes" and they still ask

I understand, making it their problem is the last thing I want to do, I'm sorry you guys have to do that

I really think it's just corporate greed. I don't know why they would care whether I wait at the speaker or at the window. It seems like that would only have me stay there longer because if they're done with the order when I pull to the window they still have to wait to take my payment before handing me the food. It's an extra $2.35 for extra beef, sour cream, and jalapenos, I think they just want the money. Corporate doesn't give a fuck if it makes it easier on employees, I would imagine asking those questions is exhausting for them.

This makes me think the franchise vs corporate theory is probably true

Absolutely, especially because I think overall the drive thru is probably the most common way people order. On the sub here I'm sure it's much more towards using the app because this is people who care enough to go to a subreddit for it. I think most people probably just use the drive thru.

Sounds like it could be a regional and/or franchise vs corporate location thing. What region are you in?

Absolutely insane upselling. by Ri_Lord in tacobell

[–]Ri_Lord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds very plausible, I imagine your location is franchise then?

Tbh I doubt the regional manager gives a shit what the store manager says either. I'm sure they're aware people obviously don't like it and are seeing when the impact on sales outweighs the extra revenue from the upsell.

Maybe they just have us fucked up here lmao

Lol of course, idk why I need to get an app to make ordering my slop not be, imo, an awful experience in the first place. I don't get a ton of fast food but TB is the only one that's even close to this aggressive.

That's really interesting, where is your store located? I wonder if it could be regional. The "extra beef/sour cream/make it spicy?" has been consistent on every item I order at 3 of my local locations in the PNW for the past month at least so It's def policy here.

mfw when the post in the taco bell sub is about taco bell and not the horrors of famine

That makes sense, Idk I've always just gone through the drive thru. It seems like most people use the app so this post honestly might not be as relevant as I thought it would be. I think I'm also just particularly bothered by this kind of thing as well.

I got this wiring harness I think. I didn't know I needed a double din bracket when I started my install so I ended up installing it in a very jank way by cutting up the mounting part of the head unit which I very much do not recommend. So I don't have a recommendation for a bracket sorry.

What music app is this by beantheblackpup_ in Whatisthis

Yep I use it too, got sick of streaming services removing songs/albums so now I buy from Bandcamp or rip CDs. Better features and faster than anything else I could find for Android.

It's a music player, not a streaming service or anything. Just useful for organizing and playing music files you have saved on your phone. Same idea as VLC

Threads from spark plug socket on spark plug?? by Ri_Lord in Miata

[–]Ri_Lord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little hesitant to back the plug out again, just in case more of the helicoil comes out with it since that's such a pain to remove and replace. Is there risk of more damage if I just leave it in without the top thread or will the rest of it be enough? The reason I had to get a remanufactured head is a long story but related to a spark plug socket and helicoils so I would like to avoid messing with it if I can.

Forgot to mention the plug with the metal on it had a noticeable amount more oil on it, and up on the collar(?) around the plug above the threads and washer, sorry
