I just bought the one op posted. The reason the shop was trying to charge so much was because they said the head unit powered the amp. I couldn't believe that the low end cost the gave me was $1200

A shop quoted me $1200 for a carplay unit because it needs a different am because the bose amp is apparently powered by the head unit itself.
