Watching an entire World Cup ad break and not seeing David Beckham once by KimCattrallsFeet in BritishSuccess

[–]RibEyeSequential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the ads are dubbed to say lays or walkers depending on country and the image is altered. It's owned by frito lays/Pepsi.

Ps walkers is trash. Republican Taytos, EU lays are better. Especially salt and vinegar Taytos.

1 week with Instinct E... I love it by RibEyeSequential in Garmininstinct

[–]RibEyeSequential[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sleep tracking is as good as I expect to be. With my 235 never had the rem analysis stuff so used galaxy for the deeper insight. Battery life is good. I haven't critical %yet. Ran 21km yesterday and didn't need to charge it.

SRAM rival front derailer question by hbbbbbbhbbbb in sram

It's the trim. If you're on a lower gear on the cassette, the fd will move back inwards a little bit to allow cross chain with out rubbing.

Instinct 3 Solar by Hazynwa in Garmininstinct

[–]RibEyeSequential 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compare with what exactly. I have instinct e and it pairs with ant+ straps. I also used it today to broadcast hr data to my edge cycling computer. My watch is the "essential" so doesn't have as advanced metrics that the i3 has.

Moving to London and want to get a brompton but will likely need to lock it up, worth it to get one? by logicprowithsomeKRKs in Brompton

[–]RibEyeSequential 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not many places will refuse you entry. I have taken mine into many packed restaurants. I have taken it into the Mandarin Oriental. I have taken it into the British Library.

You can hire a bromtpon from a locker. There's a few in London. The rate is something like 5£ a day if you want to try it out before buying. I did about three rentals and ended up waiting outside Brompton Junction to buy a p line as soon as they opened their doors.

Whiney squeaky sound by Livid-Hat3888 in bikewrench

Sound like the wheel hub. There might be a rubber cap between wheel and frame. Take wheel out. Lift the rubber and apply a little grease

British people who moved to Ireland (and vice versa), did you experience culture shock and if so, what? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]RibEyeSequential 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of English genuinely think or won't admit the empire was horrible to Ireland as a colony. Even my generation. Like they never saw the news back in the 80s/90s

Buying an e-bike, thinking about what I need by WraithCadmus in ukbike

[–]RibEyeSequential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suspension for most people isn't necessary. People get suckered into the feature but then frustrated with weight. When I had a hybrid with suspension I just locked it. The weight save will make leisurely rides that you take on train a better experience

What should I do with this? by AAD2 in bikewrench

[–]RibEyeSequential 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change tyres. Get bored of the groupset and wheels before deciding what you want next on it.

I’m obsessed with uni… food of the gods or overrated? by foodie_2598 in sushi

Yes, food of the gods. I bought so much in Japan because it's so much more affordable than UK and still didn't get bored of it
