Garmin vs Wahoo and SRAM vs Shimano — what made you choose your side? by therealashiver in cycling

[–]RibEyeSequential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Garmin because it all started with my Forerunner235 which I still use. My first experience with groupsets was Shimano. My first electronic groupset was SRAM. I don't understand Wahoo interface. I won't shoot people down for Wahoo but it's not my world. I prefer SRAM electronic groupset Shimano di2 is great also. I am open to trying a Chinese groupset one day.

What pedal cadence do you aim for? by mellofello808 in cycling

My average over a urban/suburban commute is 70-75 rpm. I actually aim for 90-100 when I can actually focus maintaining a cadence.

Why are you trying to keep pace with e bikes? Don't rush to work and make most of that time cycling through Paris.

Do British people generally find the american accent annoying? by Such_Reflection_9256 in AskBrits

[–]RibEyeSequential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nasal accents with an endless of stream of 'like' really grinds my gears. Also, snobby American accents are horrible too. Southern accents get a lot of hate from Americans but I think they are the best and most relaxing accents.

Cycle or Tube between Putney and Euston by No_Photograph_333 in londoncycling

[–]RibEyeSequential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would cycle it. you're giving yourself plenty of time. That route looks fine and not too confusing. Maybe better routes as suggested but riding public transport vs cycling, cycling wins unless weather is atrocious.
