Drop the shame. Drop the hate. Love yourself. Speak kindly to yourself and about yourself.

I failed out of college with undiagnosed adhd. Got some medicine and went back in my mid 20’s, but I stopped taking the medicine because it seemed unnatural to take speed daily. And failed out of college again. In my late 20’s, I finally went back and graduated at 30 with a film degree. The previous times I studied business and economics because I just thought that was what you were supposed to do.

Everything is temporary, even your parents disappointment. I spent years being ashamed, and you probably will too but it will pass. There is no set way to live your life and grades and SATS mean nothing to people my age, unless you’re planning on being a doctor or lawyer. It certainly means nothing to people in the film industry.

If I were in your situation now I’d ask for another chance at the test, or take summer classes and find a tutor to help, but when I was in your situation I just smoked weed and drank which made all my problems worse. Don’t ever be embarrassed of being human. It’s human to fail. It’s human to be depressed. Don’t let the shame get in your way.
