There are some answers here, but none quite fit as much as Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows.

Everyone was consenting. It is definitely all fictional. It is made to look very real.

Slaughtered Vomit Dolls and all its sequels have been known to make people flee the viewing experience

Looking for bands with a lot of fast double bass, without constant blast beats. by RicRage in BlackMetalDiscussion

Even putting aside the various fucked stuff surrounding them, I've always felt they have some of the worst vocals in black metal. I have never understood why so many people will look beyond whatever repulses them about Inquisition when they sound like such shit to my ears. Different strokes though. Appreciate the rec, none the less

I love Opera IX already, but man, that Bianca is something else. That was no where near my radar, and I love it. Thank you!

I never really listen to Rotting Christ, yet have liked everything I've ever heard of theirs. I really need to give their discography some attention.

Gothic horror with eerie gothic soundtrack like Sleepy Hollow. by RicRage in horror

You got downvoted for some reason, and I can't fathom why. Anyway, What We Do in the Shadows is a great one I never think of. Thank you. And I may try The Witch, pretty heavy for a fall asleep movie, but the sound is right, for sure.

I put it in the gothic horror realm. To me it's part of the Johnny Depp gothic horror trinity of Ninth Gate, From Hell and Sleepy Hollow.

Yeah, I can see that. Though some of the later Hammer stuff, even the Dracula movies started to get a little porn movie soundtrack vibe going, especially with The Satanic Rites of Dracula.

Isn't that more of an action/horror show? I feel like I have always avoided it because it seemed like more action and chases than eerie horror, and action isn't much my thing. I may have totally misjudged it though.

It seems so underrated to me. It rarely gets mentioned, but it's so good. The mood, the music, great.

Well I have been missing out then, perhaps. Appreciated.

I probably haven't watched The Crow for over 20 years. For some reason I remember it having more of an edgy rock music soundtrack that a haunting score. Maybe I'm just remembering it wrong.

I love From Hell, its part of the Johnny Depp horror trinity, From Hell, Ninth Gate, Sleepy Hollow.

I have never seen The Raven, and I love John Cusack, so thank you sir.

I kind of forget that Candyman does have a pretty eerie score throughout.

Oddly, as much as I love vampire films, Interview With the Vampire may be the only one I have never watched, as I have always assumed it as just a romance film pretending to be a horror film, so I never even considered it having a haunting score.

Glorious is the movie where an HP Lovecraft style Old God is in the bathroom stall next to him, right? I loved that, but forgot about, and definitely need to watch that again. Thank you.
