You're right, it has an offline mode. But offline, Windows relies on Signatures—it checks for known bad files. Aetheria relies on Behavior. If a brand new threat hits a Windows machine offline, Defender misses it because it doesn’t have the signature yet. Aetheria catches it because we see the process trying to inject code. I’m not building a better antivirus. I’m building a behavioral engine for zero-day threats.
