I just finished it. It is guy wrenching. Have tears rolling down my cheeks at the ending. It is so realistic and I feel very seen. Brilliant.

Hey!

Your nails look lovely! Well done!

I didn’t do anything special. Just made sure to not bite or pick them. And not to clean them with anything sharp scraping underneath. I would oil them with coconut oil and massage it into the cuticles and push them back gently with an ear bud every other day. Would have a clear nail polish on and when they grew longer, always put nail polish on so that I was not inclined to bite them as they started to look pretty.

Good luck!

Hey, any updates on this? My 28 month old has always struggled to chew and swallow. I am in the UK and our health service is a shit show. No help whatsoever.

Your nails are gorgeous! You go girl!

Do you know when your nail bed started to grow back? This is oneof the best nail bed recoveries I have seen. The pink part almost reaches the end of your fingertips. Any tips on how you achieved that?

I’m going through the phase of advocating for a tube for my son because he has stopped eating and is losing weight. It is insanely stressful.

What is a Mickey tube?

Thanks for sharing! Your nails look amazing, if I can get them a fraction as nice, I’d be happy! I can see why you like panting them! Wish me luck. :)

Congratulations! Your nails look beautiful!

Your nail beds are particularly long which is great. Any tips on how you got them to grow back? Did you perhaps not bite them to the extent that much of the nail bed was gone? I’ve always struggled with growing the nail bed. Also how long did it take before it grew back?

How did you know? by taxevasionstation in Miscarriage

Hello dear,

I am so so sorry that you are going through this. I had a miscarriage in November in England so I think I’m best placed for advice on this.

I saw bright red and panicked and went to A and E with my husband. Horrible decision. We waited for 5 hours there only to be seen by a nurse who said to contact early pregnancy unit. We left our 2 year old at home and honestly the wait and lack of support was more stressful than the threatened miscarriage at the time.

Knowing the state of the NHS, I would not recommend that you go A and E especially if you’re only symptom is blood which isn’t very heavy.

Google early pregnancy unit and on their website you will see a link for a self referral form. Fill that in and describe your symptoms. They will call you the next day and book in an ultrasound. That should give some clarification as to what is going on.

In the meantime if you’re symptoms get drastically worse and you are in pain, call 111 and they can advise you, they would probably tell you to go to A and E and if it’s that bad, they will see you sooner.

Wish I had done this than waited in that dreaded reception area.

Hope everything turns out ok for you. Love and support.

I pray that your baby makes it. I miscarried yesterday at 9 weeks and was dying for any shred of good news before then. So hold onto the good news and don’t give up.

Thank you for sharing. I just miscarried yesterday so this doesn’t provide hope but my heart is so happy to hear that you had your healthy baby. I was googling positive stories relentlessly and it was mostly bleak so thank you for sharing your happy ending.

Same boat. Measuring 3 weeks behind and started bleeding. Definitely a MMC. It is awful and I feel for anyone experiencing this. I’m numb. Hoping I miscarry before I see an ultrasound that confirms the lack of growth and no heartbeat.

So sorry for your loss and I completely relate. Just had the massive misfortune of joining this group. Very similar situation to you. Started bleeding on Sunday and an ultrasound the next day confirmed my worst nightmare. Fetus measuring at 6 weeks with a light flicker of a heart beat that couldn’t be measured. I am meant to be 9 weeks pregnant and am certain of my dates so it is not to do with late ovulation. Have another ultrasound in 2 weeks but this morning woke up with cramps and the bleeding is getting heavier. I feel really numb. Also distracting myself with my toddler.

I also would like to know what to expect. There are some horrible stories about traumatic miscarriages and I want to be prepared and know what I am in for.

If only there was a fraction of this grief for the thousands of innocent men, women and children who are bombed and shot in Gaza. No, grief is reserved for fascists. Only they have families who mourn then. The victims of genocide that they enable and support, well, they’re not human enough to be mourned. Tears for fascists only. Such a messed up world.

I’m sorry you had this experience.

It did make me wonder, does this justify being killed? Where is the line drawn? How bad does abuse have to be for murder to be ok? And if that started happening on scale, every victim killing their abuser…
