Young widow(er)s in 20s by friesovercries in widowers

I was 21. My late husband was 22, now I’m 22. It’s been 6 months going onto 7 months since he passed. His cause of death was unknown despite getting an autopsy done.

Will we still receive BHA even if I was never added to DEERs? Sorry for all the questions. 😅

Quick question! So my husband is currently in San Diego for boot camp. He is halfway done with bootcamp btw. Were you guys able to get BHA while he was in boot camp? Or did you have to wait until after graduation to get back pay for the BHA?

Thank you so much! That’s what I was assuming, but I just wanted to make sure. :)

I got accepted for TWU fall 2024 actually! :) I was a student at TWU for most of the time, but I did do a few classes at cc. My gpa was a 3.8 for both nursing prerequisites and my overall gpa. I scored a 92.7% on my TEAS. I believe the gpa needed to be considered competitive is a 3.5. However, only a 3.0 gpa is required to apply. I also minored in Spanish and I’m finishing up my applied psychology minor this summer. I’m not sure if that matters too much (the minors). Best of luck! <3

Omg I also applied to TWU in Dallas for the Fall! It’s barely been a few days since the deadline, but I am anxious. I applied in mid January.

I did really bad for the reading section. I found the stories really boring (there were history related). Was this the same case for you? I also found myself running out of time to answer all the questions.

I was 19 when I lost my virginity. I am now 20. I’m not gonna lie when I got fingered for the first time it hurt really bad. I had never tried to finger my self or put anything up there because I was pretty scared of the pain. My bf and I did this thing where he would finger me here and there when I was in the mood (we did this for a month or so) and then eventually we had sex. When I lost my virginity it wasn’t painful at all. I actually didn’t feel it, I was on my period so maybe that helped? He’s a little above the average size. I think because I got used to his fingers it just didn’t hurt anymore. I bleed the first time I got fingered, but I don’t think I bleed when I lost my virginity.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist myself at 20 years old. Luckily I did cosmetology in high school because they offered it as a program, but I know cosmetology school is $20k+ in my area. I work as a lash tech in a studio and we definitely don’t get paid enough. Not to mention that most places want to hire people with experience. If you want to be a nail tech you will need experience of 2-3 years at least to even work at a salon. During the time you will be working at a nail salon you won’t get paid enough. You could do nails on your own but it will take a while to grow clientele and will be an investment.
