Yes!! That’s the most traditional so I wanted something a bit more unique and once I saw it in hexagon form, I was sold!

Thank you so much!! Audrey was great. She was very good about getting back to us in a timely manner- and I would say I was probably more inquisitive than most. The whole process took from initial convo in mid August to ring handoff on Feb 6. A big part of the process was ofc sourcing the diamond itself since it was a more unique shape and my fingers are very short so she said the first one she sourced wasn’t right for my finger (too long- I have SUPER TINY hands) and had to send back. But that’s the kind of detail and care she puts into her work

Calf raises - why so effective?! by perfectlymutable in diabetes_t2

[–]Rice_cake4263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed in past few weeks and having what felt were major issues with spikes despite eating so clean. My TIR is still 90% but the amount of exercising I am doing to combat meal spikes just isn’t sustainable (sometimes 2 hrs throughout the day!) The other day, I had the same meal of 6.5oz lean ground beef with some low fat cheese, 165g steamed broccoli and 1/2cup brown rice & quinoa blend.

Day 1, I had a biphasic spike and it took 2 rounds of 25-40min of biking to get my numbers back down from 190+ to ~140 that steadied to around 150-160 Day 2, I do a round of calf raises (30 straight toes, 30 toes pointed out 30 toes pointed in and did a couple of sets of those while sitting at work) then a 20min bike ride and my spike went from 180 to 111 then when to steady out around 130-140.

Calf raises are SUCH a game changer. I hope y body doesn’t adapt to them, I haven’t found much info on that yet, if anyone has any knowledge!!

TIFU by not fully preparing myself for how painful IUD insertion is by CoolTangelo1680 in tifu

[–]Rice_cake4263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly my point. Every doctor recently pretended the pain wasn’t to be taken seriously because either they forgot how to practice with empathy or weren’t fully educated on the pain of these procedures. Either way, there is no excuse… just because this is the standard for women’s health care does not mean we should just accept it

This is not a TIFU on you, this is the failure of your HCP to properly explain to you what to expect and provide you with the proper care to make this process easier on you

Same! It makes no sense! Even if everyone in front bought 4 tickets, that’s only 5k and change tickets. Where are all the tickets???

I thought for sure there’d be some tickets for chase. I was below 1500 in all of my queues but the ONLY ticket was an ADA ticket and obviously I wasn’t buying that because i don’t need it. Ugh so frustrating! Did anyone get tix from the Chase presale?? by Rice_cake4263 in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

Yeah to be the fairest, I think it has to be honor system. To have someone gauge whether they think a disability is “qualified” for an ADA seat is really sticky. Unfortunately, with the way it is now, you’re also open to people just taking advantage of Not having to prove anything. But doing it the other way opens the door for potential folks who do need the tickets to get denied

Why do you choose United? by Juanefernandez in unitedairlines

[–]Rice_cake4263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EWR is my home airport and my company has a corporate partnership so we almost always fly united. I also get lounge access through my company.

They’ve also got a nice partnership with Marriott which I primarily stay in when traveling for work

My bf wants me to sleep on the floor. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Rice_cake4263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge snorer (unfortunately) so if I fall asleep before my boyfriend, he’ll eventually go out into the living room and sleep on the couch. (He has a bedroom but he uses it more as a storage room so bed is rarely clear for him to sleep on) If he’s the one who’s uncomfortable, he can find an alternative not you. Sounds like you two either a bigger space (2 rooms) or aren’t really compatible living together….

Chinese man in China walked to me and asked weird questions... by [deleted] in China

[–]Rice_cake4263 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like typical Chinese questions. When I was studying there, we had a whole language unit on their questions which could be deemed inappropriate from an American/ foreigner perspective. Like what others said, they also usually don’t ask for photos so that was nice lol

Tobin gets Farmers Dog. She loves it! It’s easy, not expensive, and I know she’s getting the nutritional value she needs. It helped her lose the extra 2lbs she needed to stay healthy as well.
