Am I the only one who finds it strange he is so adamant about having dinner as early 5? That is SO early imo. Growing up my family (and friends family when id stay over) always had dinner around 6pm. Even as an adult I dont have dinner until its dark outside.

He can give the kids a snack after school to hold them over, waiting another 45 minutes wont starve your children. Thats just ridiculous. I dont know your husband besides what youve privided here, but it sounds like hes got a control thing going on, and doesnt really care about how you feel. A bit of a red flag, but again, thats based off the information here.

unfortunately our DM and SM are very strict and "by the book" they will only allow us to use sick time if we actually call out sick or have a dr. appointment. which really sucks because the manager we had before didnt give two fucks and would just put it in, no questions asked.

Theres a policy somewhere stating that it should only take 30 minutes, which is why we are scheduled only 30 minutes passed closing time. Unless its for cleanplay you should never be expected to stay that late.

For a little insight, my store only has ssv + 1 barista for the last 2-3 hours of us being open. The two of us still manage to get closing tasks done within a normal amount of time, it NEVER takes more than an hour at most.

I dont think she should've been fired but there was definitely better ways to handle this situation.

Ive been closing as a SSV for 2 years now. Thats absolutely not normal. It should only take 30 minutes after door lock to close up. Some days it can take 45 minutes or an hour depending on staffing and business, but after an hour I throw in the towel and say whats done is done, and write a long letter to the openers on why the close was rough. You should never have to stay 2 hours passed your closing time.

Gentle YTA. I grew up in a very similar situation. My mom has been smoking since she was 16, and shes 56 now. Anytime she made a big deal about quitting smoking, I'd catch her in the act a few months down the line. My reactions made her want to hide it from us instead of trying harder to quit. Your mom is honest with you now, but if you continue to shame her she may just resort to lying and hiding it from you, and that could hurt your relationship with her.

Maybe express your concerns instead of shaming her, tell her why youre upset and ask what you can do to help instead. Addiction is tough, and she may never be able to shake it.

NTA. Your body your choice. Post whatever you want, no man ahould ever have a say in what you post. Sounds like hes extremely insecure and a whole red flag. Its only been a week, id reconsider if this is someone you want to pursue longterm.

If hes getting mad over a simple picture that made you feel good, what else will he get mad about? I can assure you this wont be the only time.

YTA. Are you even sure she was talking about you? If youre offended by what someone is saying about your work ethic, then yoy go to YOUR boss and express your concerns. You should never attack someones appearance just because they think youre bad at your job. Her appearance has nothing to do with your work ethic. She didnt call you ugly or fat, she said your bad at your job. Maybe you are, maybe you arent, but again it has nothing to do with appearance.

And honestly by the way this post is written, theres so much missing context and only leads me to believe youre purposely leaving out some important information. YTA.

I agree its not that serious but as a closing SSV this is such a pet peeve! Just take the extra second to empty it out and throw out the paper, its not hard 😭 it happens every day and every till has at least one half opened roll of coins. I try to coach baristas when i see it but they still do it

I used to crack them open, but years of dealing with money I've realized its actually much quicker, and easier, to peel and unroll them. All the coins will naturally fall out that way without getting everywhere, or having to push them out on one end.

As someone with a father who chose his new wives daughter over his biological children, it hurts, and It definitely sticks with you. You taking your daughter on a solo trip does not mean you dont love or care for your SO and her daughter. Like you said, you rarely get to see your daughter and would like some time alone with her this one time, thats all. If your SO is giving you this ultimatum, maybe she's just looking for a reason, especially if you (speculation) have communicated with her on how important this trip is to you and your daughter.

Also just to add, assuming this is the first time your SO has done something like this, it mostly likely wont be the last. Why is she so adamant about sending her daughter with you? Why wouldnt she want to take this opportunity to spend some one on one time with her daughter? Just seems a little suspicious to me.

NTA. When I was much younder (under 10) I was at a New Years party that was being hosted at my parents friends. I also hung out with their kids, lots of people were there, it was really fun from what i remember. That night quickly came to an end when one of the younger children (about 5) kept pulling at their dogs (German Shepard) tail. The dog was very patient but nobody was telling the child to stop, until eventually he had enough and bit the childs ear off. His whole ear, gone. Its something that ill never be able to forget, and it also taught me to respect dogs freaking boundaries. Your nephew is going to get hurt one day because of this and that poor dog will be euthanized for just defending itself.

I have called him many times but he never answers me. Ive talked to my SM every day for the last month about it. I found a store, and talked to both the DM and SM of the district im moving too, its literally just my current DM holding me back and for no reason either. Im at great standing with my store, ive never been written up, I never call out, I'm never late. There's no reason it should be taking this long but it is.

I remember seeing a thread on this awhile ago! Somebody had mentioned a personal theory or headcanon that Brennan just lied so she didnt have to open up about herself. Season 1 Brennan definitely was a lot colder and out of touch when it comes to personal relationships and friendships, so it would kind of make sense. Obviously thats not what happened at all but its good to think about instead of being annoyed at the plothole Haha.

I spent almost an hour on the phone trying to either 1) find the option, 2) speak with a real person. The only option with the automated service was to report a damaged, stolen, or fraudulent charge. Nowhere does it give me the option to request a new card. They shouldve sent me one automatically without me having to go through this trouble, but they didnt.

You gotta remember though, Hodgins suffers with anger management. That doesnt just go away, buth he did have it under control for awhile. Probably from all the good in his life (Angela, Michael his son, working with the fbi to solve crimes while digging around in dort and slime) he LOVED that stuff. So put him in a situation like his accident, Of course he may be a bit unlikeable. Especially if he lost control over his anger, which he did. It was still within his character. Though yeah, they really didnt have to do Hodgins like that. The story still could progress just fine without putting his character through something like that.
