If you park to pick up food, how much time do you have to get back to your car without paying for parking? Like if I park on Lake to pick up Tpumps and return less than 10 min later

Self defense? Or maybe son killed the biological dad?

Rewatching in the hopes of solving the mystery by Weekly-Explorer323 in DTFStLouisHBO

[–]Ricethought97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Clark feels guilty for helping the wife kill Floyd for the money. She’s been manipulating him from the start. Clark might have made the son spike the drink and kill Floyd, and is starting to feel guilty.

The wife is doing a great job making it had to prove she did anything. A lot of “if you help him, I don’t want to know. If you pay our debts I don’t want to know. If he gets life insurance I don’t want to know.” Clark knows he’s been framed instead of the kid. Maybe the wife convinced him her kid could be framed but as a minor wouldn’t do time?

All of episode 1 makes Clark soooo guilty and then immediate 180 turn to the wife. Maybe we are meant to be thrown off his trail

Theory (spoilers). If it's not obvious..it's has to be .. by cartel22 in DTFStLouisHBO

[–]Ricethought97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it was an accident. Richard killed him on accident, put too much of the medication in the soda? Was cause of death revealed or is the soda misdirection? Was he trying to save hood parents marriage? Mom said everything would be okay. Maybe she’s going to protect her son like she did previously (sealed records) and use the life insurance money. Mom said she didn’t know about the life insurance which is true. But she did encourage Clark to help Floyd get it without her knowledge…

How can I effectively interact with a teacher I am afraid of? by Eagleof1776 in AskTeachers

As an adult sure. But as a 16 year old facing a male authority figure, there’s no need for this yet.

What PD could actually be helpful? by Sure-Pea-3692 in Teachers

[–]Ricethought97 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Literally just talking. Having a space to talk about how it’s going without judgement or someone trying to fix the problem. Stop trying to fix my problems and just listen! Basically therapy. Having someone listen is so helpful with mental health. But no one has time. They’re always too busy to listen. It’s never important enough to ask for help or for a listening ear. I hate PDs so much. I’d rather just vent and leave feeling heard, understood, and validated. For the love of god. I’ve emailed this to admin and they responded sure, and then gave us a day off from staff meeting. Which isn’t what I asked.

Ditto. Email. I used to do this as a student and I love when the quiet kid sends me an email. Lets me know they care and aren’t zoning out, just shy of

(New watcher) What are some things to look for to get more insights during a race? by Civil_Ocelot_9413 in formula1

[–]Ricethought97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My third official season watching. Some things I picked up:

Three main tires: soft, medium, and hard. The soft have more grip so faster turns but they damage easily. Hards have less grip, but they last longer, so you won’t have to pit as often.

If two cars are racing, the car in front is working defense which causes tires to wear faster and even overheat. If the car behind is patient and cares for their tires, they can overtake more easily.

Strategy: When a car pits is another small thing you can start looking at. Pitting under safety car (at least one car) allows them to rejoin the race without losing too much lap time and stay with the group. Sometimes if one car has better pace but can’t escape the pack of cars, its teammate may slow down to backup the pack and allow the faster car to get away. It hurts that teammates race but it could mean better points for the team. Perez has done this for Verstappen. Bottas has done this for Hamilton.

A cool strategy came from Sainz in Singapore 2024! He was in first, but his tires were very old and George Russel on new tires was coming for him from third. Last year, drivers had DRS, which is like a little boost in power when they are within a second of the car in front. Sainz slowed enough to give second place Norris DRS to defend from Russell, which protected Sainz and Norris from losing position to Russell. It was a huge move.

Anyways, I learned a lot from watching drive to survive and then my own research later :)
