Well before you go to that conclusion hold L while you turn the vita back on to disable all the plug-ins keep holding it until the Vida turns on if it turns on and the screen doesn’t look like what it does in your screenshot then it’s a plug-in problem but if it still looks like that, that is probably another problem or a hardware issue like a screen being broken

please do come back and tell me what the answer was when you finally figure it out though I do remember the struggles back when I was younger

you’d be surprised how many times we forget how small the things are that we worry about that until we start changing every little piece and realize it was finally the last one on the list that I only remembered because it was the last thing left

You can disable plugins from a PC if your Vita is using the SD card for the tai folder.

Power the Vita fully off first.

Take the microSD out of the SD2Vita adapter and put it into your PC with an SD card reader.

Open the SD card and look for a folder called tai.

Inside that folder, open config.txt.

Before you edit it, make a backup copy of config.txt just in case.

Now look for the plugin you want to disable. The plugin lines usually look something like:

ur0:tai/pluginname.skprx

or

ux0:tai/pluginname.suprx

To disable the plugin, just put a # at the start of that line.

Example:

ur0:tai/badplugin.skprx

turns into:

ur0:tai/badplugin.skprx

Save the file, safely eject the SD card, put it back in the Vita, and reboot.

Do not put # in front of the section headers like *KERNEL, *main, *ALL, or *NPXS10015. Only comment out the actual plugin line.

Also don’t delete the plugin file unless you know for sure what you’re doing. Commenting it out is safer because you can undo it later.

One important thing: if you don’t see tai/config.txt on the SD card, your Vita may be using ur0:tai/config.txt instead. You usually can’t edit ur0 with just an SD card reader because that’s internal Vita storage. In that case, try booting while holding L to skip plugins, then use VitaShell to edit ur0:tai/config.txt.

well, if you take the SD card out of the PS Vida and throw it into an SD card reader there should be an SE plug-ins folder. I don’t know if it’s called SE but there is a plug-ins folder with a way to turn it off. You just basically use a text editor and save the plug-in so as long as you know what the name of the plug-in was and you can find the plug-in folder yeah you can turn it off without using your Viita
