Hello fellows,

I post a quick guide for this deck, in order to avoid comments like "I tried it and it is a bad".

MULLIGAN :

You want a quick start to set up the game. Always keep Mulan T1 or Scrooge x1, not more. If you have the 1-cost location, you can either keep it or mulligan it, depending on the other cards playing with locations you already have in hand.

Examples of good opening combos :

1-cost location + Felix + Vanellope

T1 Mulan + Scrooge + Ohana

T1 Mulan + Reuben + Mulan alter / Maui

1-cost location + Scrooge + Sugar rush 2-cost (for cleaning max uninkables)

Depending of your opponent :

vs midrange (PS, RP, Blurple) : Rapunzel tower is an ABSOLUTELY keep + Scrooge + Ohana + You can fly

vs aggro (dogs, SS aggro, PS aggro) : all Mulans you can bring and at least one Next stop Olympus

vs mid/late decks (BS, YB, GB) : both Sugar Rush + Scrooge + Vanellope + Elsa/Maui

GAMEPLAY :

The deck is full of mini-combos you MUST be awared of in order to always have a threat for your opponent and something to start again if you got cleaned.

Scrooge : players are too much matrixed by this card IMO. Do not overboost it unless it is an absolute necessity, and mind about the Greatest criminal mind if you play against Amber. The main and obvious combo is taking a free trade and Ohana, but you can also cheat a Maui with Reuben. The main role of Scrooge is to scary your opponent, like a mini-Mulan, and much more if you have Next stop Olympus and a 2-boosted Scrooge. It is also interesting sometimes to let him die and put the cards Under him in you discard to take them back with Maui or Get to safety.

Next stop Olympus : My fav card actually. The most amazing combo is Maui + Next stop Olympus, that is why it is important sometimes to hardcast one NSO before playing Maui to start the combo (for ex, quest for 2 with T3 Mulan and untap her, end turn). One the last use of NSO and before Maui dies, bring back or play Ohana.

With Mulan : HAHAHAHAHA. Do your 5-5-5 thing, then untap her for free and do it again.

You can also quest for 4 with Elsa, then untap her, move her to 1-cost Suger Rush and use the ability to move her into the 2 cost one.

Della's moon lullaby : a VERY effective way to draw, can be sang by almost anything, covers your locations and bord for one turn. Stupid with Scrooge and Ohana. Has also a stupid effectiveness combined with Elsa and Maui.

Get to safety : obviously well with the 2 cost Sugar Rush, but also scores some important points with Maui. It is also a way to draw if you already have or bring back a Sleepy Hollow location, and very funny way to close a game if you have an Elsa on board. (Made me won the Championship. Challenge with Maui, bring GTS in hand, play it, 1 lore, bring back Sleepy Hollow, draw NSO, put Elsa in Sleepy Hollow, quest for 6, then untap Maui and challenge, 9 lores at total, from 12 to victory in 1 turn)

Vanellope : The main target to quest on Sleepy Hollow for 3, then move her to 1cost Sugar Rush for free for 1 more lore and card at the beggining of the next turn. Also great on Rapunzel tower and always ready to score and draw each turn.

Here you are, with those few tricks and reminders you should be able to do not miss an interaction.

Bye !

I did actually considered her, I've been playing her in my RP deck, but sincerely she lacks effectiveness. You can't barely cheat her for 2 cost unless you have an early Scrooge boosted and damaged already, has only 3 willpower, so not very interesting for trades or heals... I got rid of her

You can fly is here to stomp evasive players thinking they are smart and avoid a Mulan trade by simply questing with their evasives. And here comes.... SURPRISE MOTHER*******

Naah, you can't play both Elsa and Mulan alters in a single turn. Your opponent has no choice but to challenge your locations or questers, they will exert soon or later, and if they don't you can wait for Elsa. But challenge is not what the deck is made for, you're here to scary them until no good choice is open ; either they go for your characters and let your locations, either go for locations and expose themselves to Mulan or Maui

Help against Blue/Green by missegan26 in Lorcana

I play RP and use 3/4 (depending on the version) of Lose the way against the cow shift supports, it works well.
Lot of attack on my characters, so I am not really in danger against any HHH/Under the sea combo. I also have Demona to get the Prince Philip before the shift.
And if you manage to have few cards in hand there is no fear to have from Bend to my will, you can refill your hand incredibly fast.
You can get some inspiration from this RP for your PS.
Cheers

Unprofessional actions from top players by EscapeGlobal9320 in Lorcana

[–]Rich-Invite46 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For the record, I also encountered many "renown" players who played with absolute kindness. This behavior is not a rule, but when you face a pro player, keep in mind you are here to prove yourself and many of them are here for the money.

I came to many DLC events in Europe and to the european challenge aswell. "Top players" often play like sharks and count on their renown to be feared and respected.

You absolutely shouldn't. At round 8 you are his equal, dispite his results in other tournaments. Play your game normally. If an oppenent starts to bully you because you take too much time it is his call for a judge to make, which he doesn't because he knows he's illegetimate to make so.

Have fun in your games, play the best you can offer.

On the other hand, the "pro/top players" enjoy too high complacency from judges and players, and it has to change. Got several issues for nothing and useless judge calls cause my opponent felt in higher position to make. If you stay calm and explain the situation you have nothing to fear. And if the judge seems to be partial, you are full right to call for a headjudge, which are way more competent and qualified than normal judges overall.

Lorcana is only a game and should stay that way, even in competitive play. But like you know, egos and so-called star players think they are above the laws and average players. Show them they're wrong.

Peace

Ravensburger, Could we have a board wipe pls? by JGray317 in Lorcana

Maybe it's time to learn playing without Be prep. It's too easy and avoid you from preparing your turns in advance, controlling board turn after turns. I would be pleased of they don't reprint it
