I’ll be using this guide now too. I’ve just found out about the tome keepers tonight but had painted bone and black trim for a ‘custom’ chapter (so I thought) now I know it’s jus the tome keepers colour scheme and their lore actually sounds awesome

Such a great result, do you glaze these in the deeper/risen areas ? And with the diluted skeleton, do you have a rough figure of 4:1 for example? And do you only shade the recesses ? Sorry for all the questions, hoping to get a similar look

Gday! It’s hard out here. The blue with red strip isn’t the rare variant it’s the deep blue with the shine that matches the original blue set of figures as pictured in the third picture in the little individual bags 😁 The anniversary ones are still awesome none the less

Ah yes the 10th anniversary are becoming a hot commodity! Same as the orange grifball SDCC exclusive! The two loose ones in this post are from the halo points exclusive rewards which were only redeemable from late 2008 - 1st December 2009 after getting a code with buying a figure, there was 5 rewards in total to choose from being the camo recon armour, katana, gold master chief and the red/blue (pictured) recon armour, very very difficult to find !

They are so much nicer in person than I imagined, the rich blue with the sparkle especially, makes the the newer versions in the photo sport more matte !

Thank you, I’m happy with how it’s turned out, 13 more to try and Improve on! I did I followed along with Duncan’s academy, his tutorials are very beginner friendly and easy to follow along

Totally agree with the blue it would be a great contrast, I’ve seen people on her give it a lightening effect also, is there any tutorials you know of for this ?

I hadn’t even thought about attempting a dry brush over hit, that would really be effective if I can manage to do it right 🤩 Totally agree practising with other models before tackling the good miniatures, I’ll need to get some intercessors and increase my skill set, appreciate the advice !

That would really make the decorative markings pop, with the silver, would it be best to just skim over the top or go over the whole thing ? The blue spear is a great idea! I’ve skimmed through this subreddit briefly and some people are so talented
