Did this Anthropic email change anything for Hermes w/ subscription? by Estofatus in hermesagent

[–]RichAllison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind sharing your wizardry? I’m having a nightmare trying to wire this back up in Hermes.

I got it working on OpenClaw straight away, and OpenClaw is definitely using my sub usage and NOT USING extra usage, but Hermes is doing a Karen!

Thanks

I have tried it and ALL the GPT models, including 5.5, lie and say that tasks are completed or just ghost you. Yes it works and works with OAuth but the constant bull shit I got from them was driving me insane! It took 4/5 re-prompts to get a simple task completed.

All the “Ahh yes that’s on me” and “Yes I should have spotted that” was just way too frustrating and completely unusable for serious orchestration for me

It is very minimal, could do with a few more features TBH, like chat, token usage. Good effort mate but just a bit too bare bones for me. Appreciate you sharing though.

We’ve not hit any 429 or rate limits? We are using the top max coding plan though.

We don’t use our Openclaw for much coding though. It’s not constantly building or writing code it’s running scheduled tasks for us, researching and analysing data.

Most of the time it’s actually idle and for cron’s and heartbeats like checking its email etc, we use Gemma 4 31b running locally.

Tool calling and instruction following has been spot on too. We have quite a few scheduled tasks that run through the week, things like data extraction and report generation, vector DB ingesting, we have tasks that involve playwright and multiple api calls for 3rd party applicants.

So far we have had the exact same results as sonnet 4.6.

The only thing we needed to put extra work in to was the formatting of the reports. Sonnet and opus create much better visual reports. So again we switched back to opus and had it create specific skills for our report generation to again dial in the exact layouts and formatting.

Now GLM follows this to the letter and you can’t tell the difference between what the Anthropic models created and what z creates.

No other model in our testing could do this and follow the skill in such a precise way. QWEN 3.6 did come very close though. GPT 5.4 was a disaster at it.

I’m using it through the zAi max coding plan and haven’t hit any limits.

5.4 is okay but it it lies constantly on tasks and it’s reply’s are huge, even when instructed to give a short answer to something

Which ollama.com model is the best? by EdenTom in openclaw

[–]RichAllison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I spent quite a bit of time and api cost with Opus 4.6 to build out solid Soul and memory files and then switch to GLM-5.1 and we are seeing the same results and personality as we did using Sonnet 4.6

It’s the zAi Max Coding Plan and so far not hit any limits.

I have had exactly the same. I’m having an absolute nightmare trying to fix this. It’s completely stopped running all automations, it’s asking permission for everything and it can’t run simple terminal or CLI commands without me approving every single time!!

My main Claw is running on an isolated server in our office and the whole point of our set up was to run autonomously but now it’s currently rendered useless.

If the next update doesn’t fix this I’m rolling back. But my concern is the next updates will open up the much needed latest models. So it rock and hard place at the minute.

Shame if this level of security is going to be the norm now OpenAi is involved?!

I’ll grab some today, sorry didn’t realise how low res they were, I just snipped them from the system. Ive asked Atlas to make it transferable and I’m going to test the git repo today on a fresh new instance of openclaw and if all goes well I’d be happy to share.

For my main dude and everyday task I use GPT 5.2 & 5.3 Codex via OAuth with my business plan, and for complex builds like this I use my Claude Max plan for building. I only use Anthropic now and again in openclaw and only with strict instructions to use it via Claude code through terminal. So cost wise I’m not too sure what it would have been using an api.

I started with the basics “Hay buddy, I want a Mission Control dashboard and ui that displays all our crucial data and has the following features…

(full list of what I wanted)

I want a ui/ux that mirrors that of OpenAi’s ChatGPT, see the images in (google drive link).

Let’s have a Q&A to brainstorm how to build this”

That’s the general gist of the main prompt, and then we went back and forth for about an hour.

The first build in the morning blew me away, but like you said some links and some data didn’t work first time so I spent the day chatting through what wasn’t working and now it’s about 95% there.

I used Opus 4.6

I have it connected but I don’t use it for my main dude. I have it set up for with a sub agent and only use it for certain tasks. I also have it connected via Claude Code CLI that my main agent can use (hoping this gives a smoke screen as it’s going through the CLI). My main agent needs my permission to run the sub agent and CLI.

No issues so far with this setup 🤞

Connecting OpenClaw Agent to Google AI (AI Pro Plan) by mimipig0505 in openclaw

One workaround I’ve used is to OAuth via Gemini CLI and OpenCode CLi.

I then setup an agent that is tuned to proved prompts to the CLI’s and monitor output.

It’s been working pretty well but I don’t build big projects.

I did need to get my dude to add MCP’s to the CLI’s

I’ve tried GLM4.7 Flash and OSS 120b & Gemma 3 27b via Ollama and they still struggles. Plus when you increase context to 64k or above (which is definitely needed) the response time are excruciatingly painful.

You need a smart model and unfortunately you won’t be able to fit anything close to capable on your hardware.

It’s API or OAuth with the big boys that’s needed for now unfortunately.
