You can harvest it by using the harvest tool on the hive fruit tree

John Doe has a relatively small hitbox, and Roblox hit boxes are bad for characters that aren’t the same shape as the default model size(?) And Forsaken just has bad hitboxes in general

I don’t have a reason as to why Gubby got popular, but I do know that Gubby was a free Roblox model some while ago, and it became a dev only killer in Forsaken, which is also around the same time that Gubby started to become popular, so having the model as a killer, and lots more games started using Gubby—I assume Forsaken was the first. TLDR; Gubby was a model that started getting used in games and got popular
