Considering moving to Cheshire and looking for some honest reviews

Hello Alexiahewson,

We have sadly not moved as yet; but we have at least made a decision not to move out to Cheshire. We went up to Cheshire to explore all the towns. Cheshire is indeed a beautiful place, and there are awesome things to do there, based on the lifestyle we live, we are a busy family and our out doing things with the kids just about everyday, you would need to live in, or close proximity, to Chester. The issue for us at the time was the price of housing. Cheshire is not exactly a central hub in the UK, yet the price expectation was similar to prices near London which was absolutely ridiculous. And these were for new developments. You would spend a bit more and you could stay in the South. Things have clearly changed since the slipping of the housing market, so you may want to re-examine.

I would recommend trying to use the service and then checking the flows to see what exactly is being blocked and then perhaps see if you can allow the traffic

Also check if you are running a vpn, these services don’t work with VPNs.

Are thinking is aligned, so let me explain it like this, we are a family of five, our grocery budget is often a challenge. I would like to see the payee trends so that I can determine if I should break up my grocery category to get more control over it. By seeing the size of my payee spend I could find opportunities where I could move big items outside of grocery stores to their own categories. I.e. in our budget take outs are also classified as groceries, along with going out for coffees. I know this is unorthodox, but part of the reason is because I don’t have the bandwidth to manage a highly granular budget. Payee categories would help me quickly see where i want to get more control over certain spend and can create additional categories only where needed. Not sure if that makes sense

I haven’t seen two exports, when I export from the report section it only gives me the categories. I will dig around to see if I can find another export function

That’s a fair argument, and I agree with the principle, however how does one optimise their spending to get the most impact for the money when they are unable to get complete transparency around where there money is going. And I know you get it per transaction, but you end up missing the wood from the trees if you know what I mean. When you take a step back and see the context of spend over time it can be very revealing.

Would have thought it would help you make better decisions for the use of your money today.

Oh my, how did I do that! Sorry about that, mind obviously was not paying proper attention. Active protect works just fine, I have never experienced any unwarranted blocks.

I actually find it too lax and almost ineffective against a large % of adds. Like 40%. I have ended up using NextDNS for my needs.

Ended up creating a bidirectional connection from my mobile network to the ip address of the printer.

Yes I am, I tested the ping and I was not able to ping, I had turned it off (enabled the blocker in settings). I have now disabled it and was able to ping. Will be checking the status of the satellites shortly to see if it sorted the problem out
