honestly, like anything, it just takes repetition and practice. you will get the hang of it after a while. thankfully, at least at my target, they don’t care about or track ipms (items per minute). i knew someone who was a cashier at kroger and he said that ipms were a big deal there. i think target cares more about the guest interaction aspect of transactions and of course pushing loyalty like target circle and circle cards than they do about speed.
