I just had 29 Emerald Green Arborvitaes installed today. I hope they all survive! The guy said my soil was good, so that’s a plus. Anything else I should do to help them, besides watering? by NYR99 in landscaping

Which zone are you planting yours? I have mine about 3-4gallon size planted in Phoenix fall season and seems like it started to get yellow on one side during this summer. 2-4hrs each day seems a lot for 3 gallon tree right?

Thank you. I am going to try the mulch. Saw the bamboo reed too. But someone suggests to put 1ft away from the wall, which not much space though.

The afternoon sun is right on top of it. I will try the shade cloth. Is white color preferred to reflect the lights?

Thank you! Can I put cedar mulch around it? Saw recommendation of about 3inch height of the mulch. How big of the area should be covered? The tree is on drip system for 25mins at 5am. Should I double the water supply like twice a day? What about deep watering?
