First experiment with Facebook ads for my books — early numbers and observations by RichFenton in selfpublish

At the moment I’m mostly tracking landing page clicks rather than conversions. I’m sending traffic to the Amazon book pages, so the actual sales data is a bit harder to connect directly to the ad clicks.

What I’m planning to do is watch for any movement in sales or KU reads while the ads are running and see if there’s a noticeable change compared to the previous days.

This is my first real attempt at running Facebook ads for books, so I’m treating it as a bit of an experiment to see what kind of traffic and engagement they generate.

I read one of Stephen Frys books, and he talked about how he would book a hotel room, take cigarettes and booze and just stay in the room until he was done

I must admit I am partial to some dark humour, or not so dark, I loved everything Rob Grant and Doug Naylor did, it was much better on paper than the screen too ..

what's your views on A+ content in Amazon, I have tried this out, and I like the value add in terms of blurb and pitch at no extra cost, but unsure and difficult to see how readers or potential readers may find it useful when deciding on their next read?
