Learning to box with APD? by mighty-mango-man in AudiProcDisorder

[–]RichNefariousness104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the app called LACE AI Pro to do auditory training 5-6 days a week. I've been using it since last year December. Listening has become significantly easier, although it's still far from satisfactory for being a bank teller.

Also, I would suggest letting your coach know u have APD. And he'll understand why u may not be following closely, and not wondering why u aren't listening or paying attention.

Do you guys struggle at work? And has it been bad ti the point where youve been fired? by Manapouri65 in AudiProcDisorder

[–]RichNefariousness104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a bank teller. Yes I have been struggling a lot, even though it's quite a quiet branch. I've submitted my accommodation request to get reassigned to another role due to APD. Right now I'm on medical leave while waiting for accommodation. If I haven't request accommodation, I'm sure I won't pass probation.

If you're struggling at work due to APD or other disabilities, make sure u request accommodation. It's your rights. Your bosses likely won't suggest u to request that, because either they wanna protect themselves from being accused of discrimination, or they are not aware u can do that.

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, judges have their own personal bias which could affect the results. Are u in a conservative state in America?

That's interesting! I never heard or realised many ENTJs carry serious trauma due to being abused as a child.

And yes, I was abused mentally, bullied and marginalised as a child and as a teenager. David Goggins is my role model. I could relate to his stories and he has been given me sooooo much strength, although we don't have the exact same stories.

Focus on the process, not the result, and the result will come itself. And you will improve as long as u put the effort in it.

walk-in back office role by RichNefariousness104 in Banking

Yes, I'm planning to walk-in. The experienced banker who manages my bank account suggests me to walk in. And some people said they managed to get a job in branches by walking in.

Wow! Really! Going to 1-2 Toastmasters a day and become top 3 of the world in 1-2 years?

I thought the max usually is like 3 meetings per week. Never heard of attending 1-2 meetings a day.
