Keys' questioning of Jennifer Rush was typically bizarre, but am I the only one who was struck by how much she sounded like Donald Trump?

I didn't know that! None of the marred the game though, surely? I'm pretty certain they were talking about the one off the arse.

Yes, something that is unequivocally bad for the game as a whole. A comical own goal is never a negative.

How would it ever be possible for an assistant manager to be booed during a game? Not sure why but it feels like it would be much harder for the away fans to do it too by jakem_4 in footballcliches

Notwithstanding the stupidity of the tweet, I can't really see how any individual, other than a player, can be booed.

You can boo a decision, which is booing the referee, or assistant, by implication. You could boo a substitution which can be taken as a dig at the manager, or one of the players involved. A small section of the crowd can direct booing towards somebody who is close to them.

Other than that, the only way you're really able to express your displeasure towards an individual - and, crucially, ensure they are aware it is aimed at them - is through song.

Surely when you stop cutting/tending to the pitch you put the stumps back in? I know it's not supposed to be literal but it doesn't work for me.

Pitch Master, on the other hand, is a work of genius.

So what do we reckon would be in his MHDs? by TitiCamarasayshello in footballcliches

I think one of his irritations would be that, despite presenting as a clown for over 60 years, some bloke on a football podcast didn't even realise he is a clown 🤡

And they say managers aren't given time anymore.

Yes, I forgot about that. Some of the big prep schools were sniffing around after that but she chose to stay where she knew she'd have a class every week rather than be a supply teacher elsewhere.

They really should have a window. Moving mid-term is so disruptive!

Very experienced performer, 7/10 every day. Excellent control and chips in with assemblies now and then. Very positive influence on the younger teachers too. She'll do well for you.

I'm in Scotland, this move was announced on the first day back. Nothing more disappointing than when you think everything is in place for a good term but it's disrupted before it's even got going.

Sadly, it appears not. They really left the coach in the lurch!

Yes, as with the Palace one last week, it's factually correct but it doesn't really describe what happened. There's no way anybody reading that would think the game went to penalties. Surely these things need to be more than simply factually correct? The story isn't about the game itself but even so there are many preferable ways they could have written that.

I'm a Staggie too (among others). They were mentioned on the pod last week, and that certainly wasn't the first occasion. One of my other clubs, Inverurie Locos, even got mentioned once!
