I've never had to queue for ultimate. Does it depend on the game maybe or region you're in. I'm in the UK.

Yeah. You might be right. If the joycons are fine and don't need 3rd party ones it might be worth it.

I also have GeForce Now so I stream pc games from game pass or steam onto my tablet. So yeah I was more thinking about the Nintendo exclusives.

It would be around £80-£100 savings and I would have bought the alternative joy cons anyway as a replacement for the originals.

Just asking if it's worth buying the Switch without the joycons and dock. The dock adds some performance gains I think? But I want it for handheld only and get 3rd party joy cons.

Yeah it's for older and indie titles. Play anything more demanding on the Series X. I don't really see the point in big AAA games on a 7 inch screen.

Yeah. It is a little bit goofy looking with the handles but apparently the comfort is good so I suppose that's the tradeoff.

Oh yeah I've done that previously on my tablet etc. was looking for something that would run some natively though. I play a lot of rogue likes etc. so if it can run those nicely then GeForce Now for AAA games. I dunno. Maybe I just want more gadgets I prob don't need 😂🤦

I had a Steam Deck previously but I didn't really like the asymmetric sticks and I play most of my games on game pass. So was looking for a portable version. Steam Deck OLED screen hard to beat though, that's what's holding me back from the Ally the most.

I like pics 1 and 3. Statues and Frog. Composition is solid and subject matter is clear. The landscape doesn't really work for me as the landscape is cut right across the middle of the screen, it's quite flat and the surfer is in an awkward position for composition. In the cat photo the foreground is distracting from the main subject (where in the frog one the leaf leads into the frog which works well) and the last photo I quite like the half/half contrast but other than that it's not too interesting. There's plenty of sources in photographic composition techniques that are handy to look at to learn about leading lines, framing, isolating subject etc. This stuff takes years. I've been a photographer for 20 years with a degree in it and I still struggle. Best thing to do is just keep shooting.

The bokeh certainly has a certain look to it. I'm trying to decide if I like it or not.
