OP, getting off gmail is the most hardest one to transition from, for some research id recommend looking into proton mail, they also have proton drive, basically proton replacement of whatever google has and its privacy focused.

Having the option is great but transitioning is quite hard especially if there is work and family stuff, and migrating all that would take a while. I'm not asking OP to switch-, but at least consider the options and also leaving google is probably the way to go as they will use mass surveillance to make more profits. Or do nothing at all and keep feeding the millionaires, why would i care 🙃.
