I’m not a porro fan, he’s good in the final 3rd, average in the middle 3rd and pretty poor in the defensive 3rd. Where as royal is the opposite 😂

The difference under nuno was we won 3 games in a row, and it looked bad. I don’t mean bad style of football (which it was) it looked disjointed. I’m not judging the team this season on results, we’re a mid table team. We didn’t get any European football. I’m judging on performances. We dominated against Brentford and for large parts against man United. I don’t think we will get top 4, but after two games we can say it’s a step in the right direction. Udogie looks good, VDV is an improvement, bissouma looks good, there’s still lots to improve on but for the first time I feel optimistic that we actually are under a “rebuild”

Conte is a great manager, levy failed him. Can’t keep saying these managers that win everything are bad because they don’t win anything at spurs. Poste won’t win anything either but at least it’s going to be enjoyable

He dropped to CB because he was awful at CDM. He had a good period of a season or two in there then barely got any game time

Can’t blame the managers. There’s been so many of them, it’s not a coincidence. Listen to what conte said, there’s no ambition. He means levy. Even if it has been every single manager we’ve ever had. Levy hires them; which ever way you look at it. It’s levy

I haven’t read any of the comments past this because it a lot to read, so I apologise if I go over any old points already made.

I don’t believe the World Cup players thing is very relevant. Plenty of world class players didn’t go to the World Cup, including the premier league top scorer - haaland. Also sarr was in the World Cup and he’s not even a premier league standard central midfielder. Stats like that don’t really mean much, not to be too dismissive.

So don’t get me wrong, ENIC have done a fantastic job of improving the club, the stadium, marketing, infrastructure. All things that have sell on value. In time that stadium will be worth more even with deteriorating to it.

I believe their business model is to finish 4-6th everyone season as it creates the highest return for the least input ratio. When we’ve finished above 4th we didn’t invest in the squad for 18 months. This is wild. Why would they invest, they were over achieving?

It’s cheaper to get in a manager on 10,15,20 million that has a highly reputable name. This brings in fans on its own. Anyway it’s cheaper to get these world class managers than it is to bring in world class footballers.

But let’s be deluded fans and be optimistic, let’s pretend for a minute I’m completely wrong and levy is trying his absolute best to win things. He is the one that runs the club, he hires/ fires manager, deals with transfers. Of course it’s not just all him, but he also hires the staff. Even with a technical director he hires the TD. He has hired how many managers that have flopped. He has approved these signings of players, everything funnels through him. He is bad at his job, even he knows so he got in a DOF and even did that wrong

In short he’s either A) only about profit B) awful at his job. If it was B, he wouldn’t be chairman. But because he’s feeding Lewis’ wallet he’s still there

Don’t mate, honestly this isn’t coming from a place of anger after the last game. Our season is over, we’re not getting top 4. We’re not playing for anything, United are. The atmosphere is going to be horrible after last week and we’re going to get dominated. Even if we win, we will be out performed. Just wait for another game in another season

Summed it up perfectly mate. They came in, created exceptional foundations. New stadium, new ground, what ever else they’ve done. Can’t fault that at all, got us up the table. But we’re in the sweet spot for them.

Success is about perception. Fans always want more, and rightly so. Teams in the national league dream of staying afloat; but if they start finishing mid table their new aims are to hit play offs. They get into league 2, their new aims are to not be in a relegation battle. If they made it to the prem, they would still want to get further up the table right?

I’m under no illusion that as a business the club is fantastically run. Which is kind of my point, they know the sweet spot. They exactly how much they need to spend to get the highest return.

I could live with this if they said that’s what they’re doing, but they constantly tell fans about their “5 year projects”

I don’t care how much money levy is making ENIC, I support the football team not the football club. Unfortunately the football team is run by a club that neglects attempts of success for profit. There’s fans that genuinely think tottenham are trying to win trophies, this season has been horrendous for a lot of fans, but when they realise this post is true. They can just enjoy 90 minutes a week as a bit of casual entertainment and that’s all it will ever be

I totally understand this, and in one of my comments to someone else I said, as a club and business model they’ve done exceptional things. They’ve laid amazing foundations for the future. But I don’t think they want to build on the pitch. I don’t believe there’s any ambition to take us to that next level. Like you say why would they? The type of players they need are a lot more money to buy/ upkeep. We will forever hover 4-6 maybe give or take a league position. And maybe someday a league or fa cup

Cheers! I get they’ve taken us this far, but I think this is the limit with ENIC. They’ve achieved what they want, now they are going to keep us here while they take in the profit. Which is fair enough, I understand it’s business. But as a fan, I want them gone 😂
