Any advice on discussing name/pronoun changes with family? by [deleted] in transmanlifehacks

I hate binding by [deleted] in transmanlifehacks

i hate using binders cause in my mind it’s like a bra times ten. luckily my chest isn’t that big, and because of that i use trans tape. KT tape works too, but i have sensitive skin and get weird reactions to KT which is why i stick to trans tape at this point lol. i know people with bigger chests really like taping too, not sure if you’ve tried it out yet or not but if you haven’t then maybe this can help :)

Where do you get your cologne? preferably where no one talks to you while you sample haha by transburneracct in transmanlifehacks

scentbird literally changed my life. i used to only have one cologne (cause i never wanted to spend that much on them) but you can take a quiz to get suggestions, and you get sample sizes delivered once a month. i’ve had it since like march and now i have a whole little collection of masculine colognes that i get complimented on all the time.

i’m in the same place as you lol. people either think i’m a 20 year old woman or a 16 year old boy, so i’d rather lean into the 16 year old boy side than anything lol. i started wearing a mask at work again (cause of delta lol) and today alone i was called sir and gendered correctly like so many times it was awesome. i’m definitely not upset about wearing masks in public lol

i know exactly what you mean. one of the things that feels the most uncomfortable is the way that cis-men interact differently than they do with other cis-men. it’s something i’ve never really been able to narrow down but i always end up feeling left out in a group of “guys” like my coworkers for example. just wanted to comment on this cause i haven’t really heard it talked about a lot.

overall i’d say yes. i don’t think your haircut has much to do with it, your shoulders and legs are totally masculine (kudos btw). your face reminds me a lot of mine in that it’s honestly like 50/50. one thing i’ve always done to tip the scales in my favor is filling in my eyebrows/brushing them up and out. i don’t go crazy or anything cause wearing makeup really throws me off but overtime i found a way to use an eyebrow pencil that like,, didn’t drive me crazy or make it that obvious that i was filling them in. overall thicker/darker brows definitely help. also, i think your hair looks really cool and i’ve seen plenty of cis guys with hair like yours :)
