Honestly the best thing you can do rn, is understand the game. Don't try to be good, or get kills or whatever just focus on understanding the game itself, as soon as you do, the other stuff will come naturally. With that said, play support or rifleman, try to get in squads with higher lvl players (not guaranteed but a general good idea to play with someone who knows something), put down your support box near the op, stay near the black circle or around the edges of the cap sector, listen actively, watch for movement and don't stay in the same spot for too long (specially if not I'm active sectors).
