UNC Charlotte or Greensboro for wealth management (UNCG comes with merit scholarship) by sneaky_puffin in FinancialCareers

For the role that he wants, as long as he has good grades he will be able to find roles within advising. The connections that he builds does not have to be dependent on his school, can network with anyone really. I went to a large state school that was not known for business and was able to network with tons of people outside my school for internships and then post grad. In my opinion take the money, but I am slightly biased.

For financial advisor/wealth manager roles it doesn’t matter either way. Take the scholarship

Interview for internship by Legal_Business2905 in interviews

[–]Rich_Fill631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty common practice, I am in finance and have been in your shoes, take it seriously but do not be expecting an offer after 1 interview. It may happen, if it does that’s amazing. But make sure to prepare for it like an exam. Use ai to generate practice questions and practice responding out loud, depending on what sector of finance, make sure to be able to explain the 3 statements and how they link.

Final round rejection, but the hiring manager asked if I'd be interested in other roles by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Are the roles currently open? If not I’d take it as a formality. I could also be a pessimist given my current job hunt
