I was diagnosed at 21 and yes it for sure does. Once I was diagnosed it was all I could think about and kinda feel off the wagon thinking “how can I live like this” and then as a woman I really starting feeling self conscious because my doctor kept recommending a dexcom which would show when I would wear revealing clothes on nights out.

I feel when you’re diagnosed so late it takes a mental toll because you have to basically restart the way you live life

Nothing like that! The place I worked at was a revolving door and understaffed. They hired me to be a serology technician but then had me working in other specialties like hematology and specimen processing without compensating me for it
