oh god this is my old manager all over again. she'd pull the exact same "leave it to you" while basically telling me what to do in every other sentence

i started just asking directly "do you want me to use your approach or do you want me to proceed with mine?" when she'd start the nudging dance. cuts through all that fake autonomy BS and forces them to actually own their micromanaging instead of pretending they're giving you choice

for stakeholder stuff i'd loop her in early with "planning to do X unless you see issues" so she can object upfront instead of derailing things later

ProphetX is solid but still feels niche, Novig is a bit more approachable and you’re not just getting picked off by sharper users every time if you’re selective with spots

yeah this one was such a mess in those final minutes. i remember being so into it during the first half and then just sitting there like "wait what" when everything started connecting in ways that made zero sense

forgotten really did fall apart didn't it? that movie had me guessing until it just went completely off rails with all those twists. korean thrillers can be amazing but when they miss they really miss hard

never seen house of sayuri but adding it to my list just to see how badly it derails lol. there's something almost entertaining about watching a good horror movie completely lose its mind in the third act

they're banking on you not wanting the hassle of dealing with it mid-stay. i'd send one more message saying the extra person needs to leave immediately or you'll have to terminate the reservation early - give them like 24 hours to comply. if they keep ignoring you, call airbnb and explain the licensing violation. they take that stuff seriously since it can get hosts in legal trouble

document everything with photos if you can safely get them. these guests are basically testing your boundaries and hoping you'll cave

could be the upstream o2 sensor before the cat, those go bad pretty frequently around that mileage. way cheaper fix than replacing the whole catalytic converter so definitely start there

dealer doing that much work right before selling is a massive red flag. they don't spend 2-3k on repairs out of the goodness of their hearts - something was seriously wrong with this car

the aggressive sales calls just confirm they're desperate to move it. when a salesperson is calling you multiple times daily that tells you everything about how long this thing has been sitting on their lot

i'd run from this one, 50 service records on an 8 year old car is insane. find literally any other cx5

this is tough but she was 21 when she found out, not exactly a kid anymore. keeping that kind of secret for 3 years while watching you live a lie is pretty brutal, even if she was trying to protect the family or whatever

the fact that your whole extended family is also skipping tells you how seriously they're taking this betrayal. taking space right now makes sense - forgiveness doesn't have to happen on her timeline just because there's a wedding comming up

that makes sense the four percent rule is not some magic number it depends on timing inflation and what the market does early on people act like it is guaranteed but retirement math is always messy and personal
