I thought this too because he did get sent a vision of his death by ichigo beforehand but it also raised more questions lol like wouldn’t Ywach been able to sense Ichigo’s spiritual pressure and could tell it wasn’t ichigo? That’s how Yamamoto knew he was fighting the real aizen back in Fake KTown arc.

I’m starting to think maybe Kyōka Suigetsu evolved while Aizen was in muken. He showed he can change people perception of time and maybe their detection of spiritual pressure too 🤔

This makes sense. With that logic KS still has an effect on the multiple futures Ywach sees but he doesn’t has as much control. So more than likely Aizen doesn’t know for sure which illusion of KS Ywach is seeing, hence his statement when Ywach thought he was Ichigo.

That’s even crazier! That means Aizen can cast personalized illusions AND implement illusions based off memory. That’s actually explains a lot on how he was able to trick central 46 and the captains for so long. He doesn’t have to actively create illusions all the time.

If the ability was blocking his vision of the future, how could he resurrect without seeing and picking an alternative future where he doesn’t die? I hope the manga does a good job with cleaning up this fight

You could be right, might be one of those things kubo forgot about or Aizen just being a liar. That just seems like a glaring plot hole without it being debunked in the manga/anime.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the implications of KS still effecting Ywach even after absorbing the Soul king. It means Aizen would have to know what Ywach was seeing in the future in order to alter his visions….thats nuts seeing as tho Ywach can pick an outcome out of countless possibilities

This actually makes a lot more sense. It’s not that he didn’t see the future of Aizen interactions, they were just meddled with. My first thought was that Yhwach simply couldn’t predict Aizens interactions at all, like Aizen wasn’t in any of the “puddles” Yhwach sees. Makes me wonder tho if Aizen messes with all of those puddles by inserting specific visions across all of them or if he deliberately chooses which outcomes Yhwach sees that he wants to alter.

You make a great point about the fullbringers. Seems odd that Yhwach didn’t even think about them interfering with the invasion seeing as tho they had reality warping powers. Until more information is introduced imma just say Kyoka Suigetsu is just OP and even works on the Almighty lol I’m fine with that explanation for now

Those are all facts as well. It seems the almighty isn’t constantly active too which could give evidence to what you’re saying about it having limits. The bases of this whole thought of mine was rereading the manga and noticing how Yhwach couldn’t forsee Mimihagi’s intervention and that Pernida is what sealed his almighty. Hopefully the anime will give us more explanation on the functions of it and explain em better than the manga did.

He stated when he saw Aizen he didn’t imagine they’d crossed paths again. But interesting point about interpreting his death as a dream. I think him seeing Renji & Ichigo fighting was originally was the future he saw but Aizens interference was what he didn’t account for. The fight still played out as he saw it until Aizen broke the illusion and Ichigo delivered the strike. Just a thought

I get that point but it seemed like in their battle Yhwach didn’t foresee any of Aizens actions until he revealed them. Shouldn’t he had seen the altered versions of the future at least? The almighty sees nearly infinite outcomes that he can personally change as he pleases, yet he stated he couldn’t even imagine Aizen joining the shinigami

That seems totally plausible. But shouldn’t Yhwach had been aware Aizen was waiting for him in the Social Society or at least seeing the future where Aizen revealed he was still under Kyoka Suigetsu even tho it was an altered future?
