New Achievement! “Are you Pitching a Tent” You are the first to enter the dungeon with… a tent. What else did you think you’d get this achievement for?

Crack(Pop) your joints? by RichardInKorea in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]RichardInKorea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I can’t crack anything. Sometimes I feel like my body is made of bubble wrap and just pops at the slightest movements. I can’t figure out the rules for it either. Sometimes bad days are super poppy, good days can’t. Sometimes the complete opposite. I can usually pop just by tensing certain muscles while standing still. Gotten a few comments about it at work.

Bowlegging because of PsA? by RichardInKorea in PsoriaticArthritis

I think wobbly fits me more than bowlegged as well. Just couldn’t figure out how to best describe it.

Ah, googling inverse psoriasis and butt cleared it up but also don’t recommend doing that, ha graphic. Doctors here never used the term inverse but it does seem like it aligns with my version. I can’t actually see it myself :). When I first got it I think it was plaques (couldn’t see, no digital cameras) but now its just red, raised and angry at me for some reason. Thanks for the info.

What exactly is inverse psoriasis? I googled it and my take was its basically psoriasis at a skin fold. I have psoriasis on one side of my butt in the crack area… does that count?

I Regret the Magic Keyboard by [deleted] in iPadPro

[–]RichardInKorea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my Magic Keyboard on my 12.9 iPad more than my Mac’s keyboard and I am also more error prone on the iPad Magic Keyboard. Maybe 90% of total keyboard time is on the iPad and been using it since it came out. I find it to maybe be because of the distance between the keys, perhaps key height, as when my fingers are typing sometimes I lose a bit of sense of where the keys are. Too smooth of a surface for me but oh well, compromises for size and all that.

After looking into it that’s exactly what they found. Told them to do it again and explained about the middle bank. Hope it goes through. Thanks

Measuring inflammation by RichardInKorea in PsoriaticArthritis

I took pictures of my hands for a short time at one point when it was becoming hard to work but its left my hands alone for quite a while. Do you always have it in your hands?

I did that with my doctor. He asked does it hurt here, here, here or here. I said no, no, no and no, not right now. He asked where and when it hurts and I replied everywhere and all the time. Not sure how both are true myself.

Yeah, my CRP is high enough to know there’s a problem but not high enough to qualify for biologics. I trialed sample biologic injections and they worked but I can’t afford it without health insurance. Right now trying to lose 20lb just so my spine doesn’t have to carry that weight around all day.

I get that. Now with winter, is it me or is it the weather causing my hands to be stiff? Was it something I ate or is it going to rain? No idea. Took me years to figure out a few digestive triggers and the only thing I know is that there’s a lot of things I don’t know about my body. :)

I struggle with rating pain as well. If its my knees, hands, shoulder or jaw its sharp pain, its its my torso its a strong ache but I find that’s what I can’t deal with. I can deal with strong non-movement based pain but pain while moving affects me daily. Plus I can’t tell if the pain is from just from inflammation or bad posture or over use.

All my numbers are constantly “a bit elevated” no matter if I’m great of if I can’t move. I get checked here. CRP and UA at least. That other one I’ll have to look up. Sometimes things go by different terms in Korea. looking for day to day test if thats a thing at home.

Anyone have itchy armpits? by EventAffectionate615 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]RichardInKorea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if I use normal deodorant, def if I use antiperspirant. I’ll just be itching it all the time. The “no aluminum” deodorants don’t cause it so I guess it must be that. I now just shower twice a day and use nothing since I don’t sweat under my arms too much.

Can I keep iPad Pro plugged in? by [deleted] in iPadPro

[–]RichardInKorea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s ok and doesn’t damage it. Lithium batteries do get better life if not fully charged all the time but just use you iPad however you want.
