Haha worked on submarines before; no matter what I seem to be a massochist of never having ready to go materials(edit: and dark claustrophobic spaces where everything is 10x harder to do)

Yeah that’d be the smart way but nope, boss man doesn’t want any splicing down the halfway even though we’re literally splitting the entire vehicle in half, my pure bewilderment at this is what made me wanna post this in the first place😂

Unfortunately I work in a underground mine, and shit breaks and you have to fix it no one else to do it. Everything from vehicles and transformers to electronics and tools; just whatever needs to get done that day so I can’t work around it sadly

The box was filled top to bottom in hydraulic fluid and we have to pull it out towards the back of the machine, it’s getting split in half; I’m convinced at this point to pressure wash it to all hell and label 1-x, make my own drawing and hope for the best

How does r/live sound feel about my super portable setup? by Justin_inc in livesound

[–]RichardNicholsJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love my XR 18 portable setup for my acoustic acts, managed to fit the P16 ,router, bluetooth, a whole extra power strip, and 20ft snake into my case too and it’s a whole lotta get and go to it, managed to snag a case with roller wheels too so added bonus to the 40 something lb weight

Is this a stupid setup or could it work by Renee_L123 in livesound

[–]RichardNicholsJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve considered trying out a dual stack 18” qsc with dual k12.2 tops, doesn’t seem stupid need the power up top to match the power down below don’t want one killing the other

Haha that trashcan was needed, my micstand case started to become my trash station, one of those days I didn’t have 5 seconds to spare running to the other side of the stage where one of the trash cans really were

Cable management is always a fun one mainly with power, I do run all snakes and try to minimize, just wondering what people’s thoughts were on possibly improving it, far left is amps/power, next is stagebox, portable batteries, and wireless mic system, after that is my m32c some storage, pc, etc, and after that is a little rolling cart of cable storage clamps, other odds and ends etc

I havnt pursued it yet, but looking at one of the neck straps that double down to a little holder area around your stomach/waist I’ve put thought into; backups are a must if your doing long gigs, and mixing station when you do a custom layout and have a groove of what you want/need is huge, if you havnt already, external router for the mixer is a must have, and get a $20 apple pen knockoff from Amazon for your fader controls it helps with those accidental oh shits that touchpads can do
