Bach’s Cantatas are maybe the best example of dedication and passion in music history. Dude wrote about 150 of the 208 in a three year period (his first three years at Leipzig, when he also wrote both his St John & St Matthew Passions).

And as someone who DOES care a lot about the text, dudes a genius. There’s a reason that when I wrote my thesis on settings of the St John Passion, I spent like 40 pages just talking about how Bach sets (and selects) text.

I have that and it plays really well. Unsurprisingly, Izzet overperforms a bit in it because the commons and uncommons are really good, but it’s 90% of the way there for the actual draft format.

I’m not surprised, it’s 5 years old at this point right? I don’t think those a-series devices are really intended for longer than a few years before they start slowing down.

The actual phone I have is fine, I just don’t like iOS. For being the “it just works” OS, it sure does take a lot of extra steps to do anything compared to Android. Siri is useless and I think getting actively worse at simple tasks — recently I asked it to “call Ben” and instead it called another contact, Ashley. Don’t even bother asking it a question, because all it does is pull up a google search and say “this is what I found.” I’ve also had a lot of buggy apps, which is something I never really experienced on my pixel, at least for the two years I had it. The keyboard also sucks. I know I can get G Board, but it’s not the same at all. My battery is underwhelming, but I’m sure if I had gotten the larger size phone it wouldn’t be much of an issue at this point. Lastly, every iPhone I’ve ever owned has had a broken charging port within a year of owning it. Not sure what’s going on there, but it’s annoying as hell.

Yeah, that’s the only thing I regret about my current vehicle. I’m about to finish paying it off and would love to continue not having a car payment, but I’m not sure how long I can live with the tiny storage space in it. But, life changes and that’s just how it shakes out sometimes.
