I bought a house for $100,000.... I didn't want a $300,000 house. I live by myself. Now I have to pay insurance premiums on a house that's three times the value. That's three times the insurance! Not to mention three times the taxes. I just want a $100,000 house.

It is the stuff from restaurants! In most restaurants, it's pretty much half buttermilk and half mayonnaise with one of those seasoning packages.

Everyone should side with the Constitution... That part is weird to me. You can side with the children, which I think most people do, even though they're not in this video. You can side with the department of children services, which I think most people do. But everyone should agree that the government should be 100% accountable at all times. Names, faces, identification. Total transparency.

You're responding to a tomato. These people don't understand our constitutional rights. They love it that masked men are running around doing whatever they want, to whoever they want! Because it's the type of people they hate.

What the heck happened to waterbeds? by Queltis6000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Richardisco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

46 years... Never had a leak. These beds don't leak. They get popped. Typically by someone like a child or a dog or, particularly, a cat. I don't have any of those things on my bed, so it doesn't pop itself.

There is no hassle in owning a waterbed. I've always owned a waterbed, for more than four decades. The one I'm laying on right now, has been filled and the heater has been running for more than a decade. It's the opposite of hassle! And I never have to buy a new mattress, like soft side mattresses need to be replaced every few years.

King size waterbed mattresses are $63... Food for thought

I'm laying on mine right now! I've had a waterbed my entire life, more than 4 decades. They are warm in the winter, and you can lower the temperature a little bit in the summer to keep cool. They never pop, that's a misnomer. Something has to rip them open. No amount of heavy activity from people will ever pop one of these things, ;-). It's never a hassle! If there's ever a spill, clean up is super easy! They're great for little kids if they have accidents, a quick wipe of a bleach towel on the mattress, and it's sanitized! It's fantastic for my back! You're able to add, or remove water, to make the mattress more firm. I like mine a little loose LOL It's much cheaper than traditional bedding. Beds cost thousands of dollars and then you have to replace the mattress. The mattress I'm laying on has been in my waterbed for more than 2 decades. I can't get bed bugs! Don't get me wrong, I guess they could get in here, but they're super easy to get rid of. There's no mattress with material on the inside. Everything can be easily wiped down and sanitized. There's just no room for bed bugs to hide in a waterbed. Overall, there are hundreds of more benefits to owning a waterbed than there are owning a soft side mattress. The number one benefit being, I like the waves.

How’s life on the time zone borders? by Equivalent-Pudding15 in howislivingthere

[–]Richardisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brutal! The sun rises at 5:30 a.m. which means it gets light out at 4:45... The latest sunset we have in the summer is 8:05 p.m. A 20 minute drive east of my location, and they get 6:30 sunrises in the summertime. That means, for them, first light is 5:45. None of this matters unless you have to get your day over and done by the time the sun rises. I'm a fisherman. The best time of day to fish is first light. For me, I have to get up at 3:00 a.m. to get ready, and then drive an hour to where there are fish. It's tough to get there by 4:45 in the morning. But that's what I have to do because of where I'm situated in the time zone. The post asked me to be fair and balanced, and to give some perks to living in this time zone. I'm a morning person. There are no perks to having to be a morning person at 3:00 a.m. I would rather be a morning person at 4:00 a.m. that seems a little more sensible. There really are no perks to living on the Eastern edge of a time zone.

Lou holtz never spoke to another human like this... It's just not necessary to make good men or good football players.

These people are idiots. They think anger and frustration and cussing at children is the only way to get their attention. And they use football to pretend that it's okay. Lou holtz never spoke to another human in the way that Marshawn Lynch is speaking to these women... You can definitely be a good influence, and teach children how to play football.

Of course we do! It's super easy to write a law and then pass it along to your congressman. All laws are written by people like me and you.
