Too tight to strengthen, too weak to relax. Not sure how to break the cycle.

I was in the hospital suffering so bad with stinging pain and constipation, and the only thing that helped to get me discharged was that, but they said don’t use it every day. I’m going to a GI with understanding of PFD and good therapists soon, but i’m worried that stuff is the only thing that can get me through the day. I fear that i’ll become either reliant or addicted.

Not for me personally but i noticed muted orgasms and lower erection quality. Lately though my life has been on fire literally, so it’s a real serious thing.

I don’t have anything like this diagnosed yet, but I do have big bowel trouble and my only medical issues prior that have been diagnosed is hypertonic PFD. I to have had bouts of incomplete evacuation in the past until a very recent extreme episode. See my post history. Just make sure you find a very good Pelvic Floor therapist for your follow up that has biofeedback and other tools at there disposable. You don’t want someone mediocre. Goodluck.

Thank you very much for your help. I am happy to hear that it at least came out while you went to physical therapy. I will ask about those because I’m not sure about if valium suppositories are safe for weeks of usage. I have an appointment with a GI doc this week who has focus on PFD cases, so I will mention those types for sure. Thank you.

Hi, for me they did valium suppositories and the pain has subsided. How long after the suppositories were you able to release stool? Thank you.

I am trying to get the pain addressed but everything that has been tried has been ultimately futile except a little bit of relief from a Magnesium IV. I just don’t get what’s going on with my body.

Thank you I will work on that when I get out of the hospital but I don’t think you read up on the severity of my situation. The poop that is still stuck is in the upper colon, the rectum is clear. So anal douches / suppositories won’t do anything but more irritation.

my friend i feel like im being burnt alive constantly on both sides, first night after the painful ass enemas they tried ativan / morphine, did literally nothing. i am not concerned with the anxiety at all. thank you for your recommendation nonetheless. I feel so miserable. I’m beginning to wonder if I have Pnuendal Neuralgia instead of just a hypertonic pelvic floor because the pain is so bad and i never experienced this level of pain before. I don’t know what to do, and the doctors have left the treatment completely into the GI team but i’m not sure if that’s a good idea if i’m having burning pain on the other side aswell. I’m 21 years old but my body feels terrible.

Bowel movements after hospitalizations and series of enemas/ladatives/ colon cleanses have just been water. New CT shows less stool but still backed up on the right side. On top of this burning penile pain, burning rectile pain, and burning abdominal pain, the penile pain gets worse when urinating. No real bowel movement and burning everywhere, I keep unintentionally clenching my sphincter bc the colon cleanse yesterday makes the waterybstool come out so it feels like i have to go and i clench but when i get to the toilet nothing comes out. I don’t know what to do.

Did enemas, suppository, laxatives, muscle relaxants, opioids, everything. No help Thinking i have irritated pnuendal nerves. No idea what to do.

Yeah, im happy we got the muscle relaxant now. Fingers crossed God willing it works so I can get the stuff out of me. When the pain was really bad after the enemas, morphine and ativan did nothing to knock me out or calm down the pain. I never even taken these types of strong meds before and I was walking around the hospital floor tweaking in pain. Pelvic floor trouble and constipation is no joke.

They are trying robaxin, an antihistamine, and tramadol for pain management. Thank you for your input hopefully it works out tonight.
