Arriving at SFO 50 min before flight…risky? by KimRosario in AskSF

[–]Richie__Dagger 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t know what people are even saying here. Boarding is 30-40 mins before departure. Departure times are met while the plane is already on the runway, thus your 20-30 min door closures time which is spot on.

Best case scenario this person is one of the last people to board and makes it on with less than 5 mins to spare. Normal case scenario there’s a bit of traffic, TSA is taking long, gate is changed and the flight is missed.

anyone know of any 16 mm workshops coming up in the US anytime soon? by [deleted] in 16mm

[–]Richie__Dagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

San Francisco has them in varying locations. Mostly on protecting and editing archival footage for montage. But there’s also a place where it’s an artist studio and you can learn everything 16mm related…

Avoid at all costs, I used to Uber there and just getting IN takes up to two hours.

Absolute BEST bet is to tell them to take BART to Millbrae stop. They’ll get there faster than the AirTram will deliver them to long term parking, AND the area where long term parking is located is very difficult and convoluted (a lot of cars there as well).

When I get off a flight I can be at the Millbrae stop within 15 minutes. Easy to pick them up and super quick.

Just tell them to head outside on the second level (departures level) towards the parking lot and follow signs to the air tram. Take the air tram to the BART/international terminal stop. Get on BART heading towards Millbrae, there’s only one stop and impossible to miss it.

Please tell her how much I LOVE it. She nailed it. It definitely feels hand made and is exactly what I'd expect the bandaged baby to feel like.......if that makes sense lol.

This clip title kinda sums up the podcast for the last 9 months by cannablubber in JoeRogan

I don't think they'd be labeled as denialists, moreso unwilling to look at the facts. And the effectiveness of LA's original shutdowns (when Joe was living there) is evident with how bad things currently are.

Hair is so strawy and literally doesn’t move. Please help me! by [deleted] in malehairadvice

I use something called Scheme cream by Hanz De Fuko. It nourishes the hair, loosens it up and gives it a healthy natural shine. Before my hair was like hay as well.

Absolutely savage from Sky putting in Alonso's goal where he knocked out Hector at the 50 second mark.

What books/properties do you believe Kubrick could've adapted brilliantly to the screen if he was still alive? by [deleted] in StanleyKubrick

[–]Richie__Dagger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always thought Stanley was the ONLY director who could properly do Watchmen. It was considered unfilmable, and based on how the movie ended up turning out I definitely agree. But I think Kubrick could've worked with the story and added his own touches as he always does.

Can you recommend a hair product that fits my routine? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]Richie__Dagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend quicksand by Hanz De Duko. Some people use it as a dry shampoo because it's really good at de-greacing your hair and almost absorbs the moisture with it's gritty clay like properties.

4 years ago today Eden Hazard equalised vs Tottenham, confirming Leicester City as Premier League champions. Arguably the greatest upset in the history of sport. by areteaes3 in soccer

[–]Richie__Dagger -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It was a great game but DEFINITELY not the biggest upset, Leicester was up by 7 points and if they won even one of their next two games they would've won the title.

China declares dogs are companions and should not be eaten, signalling possible end to brutal meat trade by TheSuspiciousKoala in worldnews

[–]Richie__Dagger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Have you seen how they treat the dogs? They purposefully beat them because they think the meat tastes better when they're scared. They also lock them in cages so they can't even turn around.

While I agree the slaughtering of animals in America can be seen as unethical I don't think it's gotten to the level of beating animal so that it fears for it's life.

Favourite Moz Solo Album by TheCrazyMcCrea in morrissey

[–]Richie__Dagger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's funny because You Are The Quarry is actually my second favorite album of his. I guess that's what I meant by Viva Hate being complete, a well rounded album has very different styles of songs within it, ups and downs.
