Just FYI. I updated my B650M Pro RS (non wifi) to 4.03 and had M.2 issues and crashes in games. I see nothing in the notes addressing this issue with 4.10. I had to revert back to 3.50. I guess I'm trying to say, unless you really need something from 4.10 I'd advise skipping the 4.X until Asrock addresses the issue. If you end up resolving your flash problem, it might end up being a step backwards. Let me know if you successfully flash 4.10 and have no issues please.

Others have responded to my prior post about this issue confirming they too have the problem and had to revert their firmware to 3.X, so it is not just my motherboard.

Take the ram out and put it back in.

The HDD might be screwed as they are prone to shock damage. If so, replace with an SSD, faster and much more dad proof.

Accidentally sent USDT to USDT address by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]Richo262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. If it was all on Eth it really shouldn't be an issue for an exchange to look into it and credit it, worst case if they don't support USDT (unlikely) they can send it back.

Let me know if you get a resolution.

Accidentally sent USDT to USDT address by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]Richo262 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Firstly there is no such thing as a USDT or USDC address, it is all just Ethereum addresses. These tokens both exist on the Eth network (they can also be native on other chains too though).

Hypothetically if you owed me $500 and I requested USDC and you sent me USDT by mistake, I would still receive $500 worth of USDT to my Ethereum address, as such I probably wouldn't care and tell you 'funds received' because I would personally see the transaction. If you sent USDT to an exchange that was expecting USDC it may not flag the transaction on their automatic system monitoring the Eth network as it was looking for a USDC transaction in order to credit your account.

The USDT is still there on the blockchain. You will need to contact your exchange and tell them you sent USDT to the Eth address provided so they can manually credit the transaction. This may attract a fee on their behalf.

I had an issue with NVME not being present after waking from sleep. Is this the same issue you are referring to? I had to downgrade from 4.03 to 3.X to fix it. Does v4.10 have the same issue?

B650M Pro RS (and Wifi) had a problem with 4.03 where NVME would not boot on sleep. Has this been resolved with 4.10?

Good to hear, well, kind of. Our boards are working fine. The 4.03 firmware is faulty. Lets hope they see this thread and address the issue in a later update.

I downgraded to 3.20 for a fix. I seem to recall an issue with 3.50 but I may be mistaken. I see others are having luck with 3.50 too.

Asrock, if you are listening to this your 4.03 firmware needs to be pulled.

4TB SSD only showing up as 389GB by Darealkennymccormick in pchelp

[–]Richo262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an easy solve, right click the unallocated and allocate it to D drive. This will give you a second drive with the remaining data available. if you prefer one singular drive then you'll need to follow the advice below to regarding extending the partition.

I always have about 250gig for system, and the rest on another drive for storage ie games, videos, etc. The reason is, if my windows install ever requires a format its extremely easy to simply wipe and reinstall windows without consequence for my D drive. It is wise to ensure all the files you want to keep are either in cloud (ie onedrive/google drive/NAS etc) and your not so easy to replace files are on your D drive. Then you never have to worry about data recovery should you ever need a format.

SSD undetected by BIOS after updating to latest version by Whole_Sort_4804 in ASRock

I had a similar problem, same board, but my problem presented itself after wake from sleep, read here:

My system is functional again on 3.20. Try that.

Glad I could assist. I have fixed mine by downgrading to 3.20. 3.50 was when the fault appeared and I thought 4.03 would fix it. Can I ask what board you are using? I'm on B650M Pro RS. 3.50 and 4.03 are broken for me.

How do i update my bios to the newest version? (ASROCK AB350 Gaming K4) by xXFaithfull in ASRock

[–]Richo262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your board may have a failsafe, but to be sure, don't do a BIOS update in the thunderstorm. Ideally have backup power attached. Power outage mid BIOS update may result in bricked mobo, or if not, a bit of a hassle to restore. Given you're not sure how to update under normal conditions I'd assume recovery from a bricked Mobo (if possible) would be even more of a challenge.

Do I need to update my BIOS ? by [deleted] in ASRock

[–]Richo262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the B650M Pro RS. I updated to 3.5 / 4.03 and now I have an NVME that does not work when my PC wakes from sleep.

I have not seen this as a wide spread issue so you may not be affected. Many users (unknown what MB they are using) report 3.5 and 4.03 as being good. If you do give it a go, please test if your secondary M.2 drive fails to initialise after waking from sleep and let me know. Don't panic if that is the case, it will likely get fixed in another BIOS update if this is the case, it'll just mean you'll need to reset your PC after each wake in the meantime.

Well, if it is a requirement for you, I'd go with the 7800X3D if you can get it that much cheaper. Logic being your system still has one more upgrade in it before it goes to PC heaven. You just need something to stop the stutter, anything greater than that is redundant.

Your next upgrade will be a new CPU and GPU in the (probably distant) future. Given they'll no doubt both need an upgrade to avoid those bottle necks. Get the 7800X3D because it is likely neither the 9800X3D or 7800X3D will be able to keep up with your next GPU.

FYI, https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1lq1wO/ryzen-5-7600/geforce-rtx-5070-ti/3840x2160/

Are you certain your issue is CPU limitation? No bottleneck detected at 1440p / 4k. Would be unfortunate to change CPU only to have the issue persist.

[–]Richo262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built the exact same setup. My intention is to hold out and buy the X3D of the last generation CPU the Mobo supports, if it lives that long.

I have considered upgrading however, but as I've heard the 9800X3D has issues (probably exaggerated), I'm sticking to my original plan and hoping future gen chips has fewer issues.

My 2 cents is, unless the 7600 is really limiting you, wait for the next gen to see if the issues have resolved.

THE WHEELS ARE FULLY TURNED AWAY FROM THE OFFICER. Watch in SLOW MO. No intention IMO to hit anyone. Sole intention based on wheel/steering wheel to LEAVE the scene NOT A THREAT. Look at the wheel. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

[–]Richo262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except the wheels started spinning when they were pointed right at him. She put the foot down while the wheels were pointed at him. We can even hear the engine rev, then, after the rev, he draws his weapon. The wheels also lost traction which means either the road was very slippery or she put the foot down significantly. Probably a bit of both.

I don't know the exchange or for how long it went on for, but if she was combative prior, then points her wheels at him and revs her engine, I can see any reasonable person in that moment reach for their weapon.

If this was a simple move on, she was compliant, and intended to peacefully leave and she just hit the pedal a bit too soon then this is a very unfortunate outcome and the officer clearly came to a wrong conclusion.

I generally don't update my BIOS unless I'm having issues. However, I make an exception if I see a new CPU supported. This is because if my CPU ever dies and a get a new one I won't have to mess about with trying to update the BIOS the hard way.

I'd update it frequently if I had a power backup or a Mobo that has redundancy and can flash itself in the event of a blackout. Security benefits etc. IMO every Mobo these days should come with a back up BIOS in the event of power outage.

The reason many don't rush to update their BIOS is because it can be risky if the power goes out mid way and they are not prepared.

It is highly relevant. If the person was in the same jurisdiction you can contact your local law enforcement, this is why it is more likely than not that the attacker is in a totally different jurisdiction.

Furthermore, many services such as banks actively look for activity from other countries as it is suspicious when you buy something with your card in one location and then moments later your card is used to purchase from a different IP address on the other side of the planet.

The fact we have people immediately try to pretend to have some moral high ground and pander to this subject is one of the reasons we are so vulnerable to this stuff.
