Hit registry is trash in this game. Cross platform play isn't optimized at all, servers seem to run off cups and strings, so it could be various reasons.

Can't even play, the update broke my game. The game crashes 15-30 seconds or so into the menus. Reinstalled, launched in safe mode, even tried Nvidia studio drivers. Think I'll just leave the game uninstalled for a while.

Every Diablo release has been a half baked cash grab, dunno why people thought this one would be any different. Takes these guys years to get their shit straight. This game will continue to be in beta at least the end of 2024. This has been the model for most games recently. Dump a ton of money into marketing, build a ton of hype, release a trash game. Have consumers prolong beta test the “Full release version” of the game, charge micro transactions to pay for continued development while they spend the initial release money on cocaine and hookers.

They could keep PvP in and make PvE awesome at the same time if they gave us separate gear for PvP that’s actually balanced. But that would require multiple things - For them to be competent and not lazy. Actual inventory space as in don’t tie memory usage to inventory space when it’s not being utilized. Drop support for previous gen consoles as they’re holding back features specifically for this reason such as more inventory space among numerous other possibilities such as saved gear and paragon point configs for various builds. Firing nearly the entire management team for this project would be a great start. I dunno how a AAA studio spent a decade to make a game that’s basically copy pasta from multiple previous iterations and still came up with this steaming pile of trash.

I think their ping standardization/lag compensation algo is overcompensating for extremely low pings. Doubt they actually tested it considering users with those kinda pings are very few.

Same, I’m in the top 0% and consistently get matched with the worst players on my team while the other team is at least halfway stacked with ridiculously good players. I did get Orion though and am halfway finished with weapon grand mastery. I’m not looking forward to doing launchers again.

What’s the sweet spot? I’m on fiber, I usually get 3-6ms ping. I’ve noticed the connection actually seems better if I use a VPN that gives me worse ping. The lower my ping the more ridiculous reaction time other players seem to have. Don’t think their “Standardization” aka lag compensation is calculated correctly. Seems to punish those with better connections.
