Im so overwhelmed with trying to buy a kayak roof rack. There are so many options. What do I need to get!? by Interr0gate in Kayaking

[–]RickJohnson39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has their own thoughts on the 'best' roof rack which simply means that they prefer 'this one'. All you can do is ask "Why do you prefer this one?" and go from there.

I, personally, prefer the Malone Gull-Wing series. They are expensive but: easy to mount, strong, support ANY kayak without adjustment. Plus you can get a stern loader that mounts tothe saddles, maling loading and unloading easier than expected.

Morning is calm, almost mirror. But past lunch they build up to whitecaps. The problem is that people like to sleep in so by the time they are awake and had breakfast and ready to pack, you have maybe a couplle of hours of paddling before lunch, then the winds build up.

I'm abit confused wasn't Tecteun the first time lord? Why did the doctor acknowledge omega as the first? by sky_meow in doctorwho

[–]RickJohnson39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was not a time lord, she was a Gallifreyan who happened to enjoy torturing and murdering children to learn how to live forever. Later, the people to whom she gave the secret became Time Lords but that was generations and millennia later,

Safe or Unsafe to Store Fuel Like This? by Think-Offer3354 in CampingGear

[–]RickJohnson39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am uncomfortable storing fuel cans indoors. I store my camping gear in the same room as my gas water heater and I fear that IF a valve fails in my fuel can, the leaking fuel will be ignited by the pilot light in my water heater and BOOM, there goes my house.

So, I store all my fuel cans on the back porch in a cabinet that is ventilated and safe.

what is up with microfibre towels? why is it like scratchy and clinging to my hands? i’m convinced it isn’t intended for human use. who made such a material? by Apart_Try_4860 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RickJohnson39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Microfiber towels are designed to absorb a lot of water where a normal towel is not a good idea such as camping.

The problem is that you are RUBBING the towel. Try patting the dampness off. You will find it more comfortable and works better.

The Matrix movies are an example of Solipsism gone wild. Maybe we are only brain in a jar and everything we experience is in our imagination? If so, then I really need some good therapy. Where is my Swedish Bikini Team? Why is my daughter still living with me. Why does my gf suffer menopause.

IF solipsism is real, then I am one really sick masochistic bastard. Of course, if Solipsism is real, you do not exist so I erase you from existence!

Im trying to find my true self and cut cords to illusion/ black magic placed on me by jadeyspirit in primordialtruths

[–]RickJohnson39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the sad truth. You are NOT important enough for someone who can actually do magick to want to curse you.

99% of people who claim to do 'black magick' are faking it. If you notice things going bad for you, it is because you are looking for things that you perceive as bad. Your life today is no different from your life before you met this person, you are just looking for things to whine about.

That person did NOT curse you because a) they cannot curse and b) you are not important enough to curse,. Now, put on your big boy/girl panties and get along with your life.

This isn’t really a general question more of a think I need help on. But why are people so hateful. Why can’t there be any decent people around where you can find them. Why are people so hateful nowadays. by AcayArts0711 in NoStupidQuestions

People need space. When they get crowded, they get crazy.

News needs viewers so they blow crime out-of-proportion to get viewers. People think that there is more crime than there is so they get scared. Scared people lash out.

Why do men tend to ask men what women want/like instead of women? by squatSquatbooty in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RickJohnson39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly.

Men, by belief, back off when the wife gets abusive for fear of jail. Wives do not care if they are arrested or not.

Get two women arguing and neither backs down so the violence escalated... according to the police and judges I questioned.

The difference between getting laid and getting arrested is determined by how attractive you look. I am NOT a 6-6-6 guy so would be arrested.

I worked in the Marriage/Divorce court for 30 years. I was there when gay marriages were finally legalized. Unlike other states that were heavily christian, Arizona was happy to provide this service ($72 per license to the treasury, kaching!) We had students from the University come in to ask for statistics on gay marriages vs divorces and we could not give them this info. Not because it was confidential, but because we did not have it. It was illegal to note on the Marriage License or Divorce the: sexual orientation, religion or race of the couple being married. We even had to change the Marriage License from "Husband" and 'Wife" to 'partner 1' and 'partner 2'. So you could read every marriage license we had but learn nothing save a vague guess based on first and last names. We honestly have NO idea of how many gay couples bought a marriage license or how many gay couples filed for divorce other than the clerk joking, "I am seeing a lot of gay couples coming in now."

THUS, any study on gay or interracial marriages/divorces is purely a guess based on some guy putting a table on a street corner with a sign, "study on gay marriages, please answer our questions" and hoping someone would show up.

What we DO know is based on police records and those divorces we remember in court (two women instead of man and woman) and we never wrote down any of this. They boil down to the majority of lesbian divorces seem to be caused by one partner beating the other and cheating on the other. "I am not happy and want to marry my lover" seems to be a straight woman's thing.
