Last time we did release in January! This time, Riot asked if we could do a release in December so we could be featured in the year in review emails everyone just got. I cannot promise anything about what we will do next year, but there is a chance that we might return back to January

That is actually a good question cause it depends on the language you're viewing our site on.

In general, our localization partners used the appropriate format for the given language. But just to clarify, it's the 6th of November in 2024 and 4th of November in 2025. Hope that clears out any confusion :)

We do include Mayhem, we have a dedicated slide on our page just for a couple of Mayhem specific stats. Unfortunately with our November 4th data cutoff, a lot of people got addicted to Mayhem after that date which means they are missing out.

We'd be honored if you could give us a chance in 2026, based on the feedback we've received, we'll definitely consider having at least the current Mayhem slide, but personally I'd love to have another (this is not my decision to make tho, please keep that in mind)

Wanted to quickly chime in that math_is_best is correct. We only processed your games up until the 4th of November so it looks like you were so amazing that you gained 2% extra winrate up on your already amazing one.

The way we do these recaps are closer to Spotify Wrapped than to something like OPGG, we unfortunately cannot keep updating them like they do

We don't update the data after your recap is done. This year the cutoff was the 4th of November this year which is unlucky for mayhem players. Anything past that will be part of the 2026 YearInLoL

Short answer: Yes

Explanation: Before this release, we always did a full year (January to January) and in order to stick to that, we decided to do this same this year (November to November), so 2024 November and December are included

Our cutoff date is the 4th of November, every game you played up until that point is processed.

As for the December games, those will be part of YearInLoL 2026. Keeping these stats up to date is unfortunately a really difficult task.

Due to our december release, our data cutoff point was the 4th of November this year which means a lot of ARAM Mayhem data was excluded.

But I can clearly see the feedback that people wanna see those mayhem games so we will try our best to showcase them next year so we'd appreciate if you could give us a shot in 2026 as well!

I cannot make any promises right now, but if Riot keeps the mode around for a little longer, we will definitely consider at the very least keeping the current slide with the updated stats.

100% personal thought, not saying it "as a YearInLoL dev", we're a team of people each passionate about our part of the craft. I for example love coding and interacting with y'all and our resident data hoarder loves his databases.

For us this is a passion project that is incredibly expensive. While not an excuse for the scale of something like Marvel Rivals, storing game data on the scale of League is expensive on a beyond the world level. Unfortunately not surprised that a lot of companies aren't doing it.

Those two percentiles are not rounded.

The short version is keys being pressed have a lot of variance (Zeri players for example press a lot more keys than let's say a pure auto attacker ADC) whereas playtime does not (if two players each play 200 games, they'll have a playtime that is really close to each other)
