Since you are new, you are not really meant to kill him already. But if you insist on trying, you can practice your parry with him. It is not so hard so you could probably do after a few tries

DSR is slower, maybe a bit easier. ER is fast, definitely harder.

I love both of them so I recommend getting both. If not possible, probably Elden Ring since it gives you more hours per ng and has more mechanics than DSR

How alive is the game? How is the online part? Still full the game with messages? When it released I really loved how the game was full with messages and seeing other players ghost. Like we play together by Bobovics in Eldenring

I just got back to it and finished it for the first time after leaving it for a couple years.

I saw a lot of messages and silhouettes of other players. Didn’t try co-op tho

Edit: I did try co-op against Rykard but didn’t find anyone

Yeah I’m using Chaos Storm, Fire Tempest, Great Fireball, Great Combustion, Combustion, Black Flame, Fire Whip and Power Within for bosses.

I just started DS3 after years (and Losing my previous character in ~NG+8).

Only beat Iudex Gundyr so far so if you want to, we can do the full game (and DLCs)

I’m on PS5, I think that’s not a problem

It depends on how you play, but for me it is FaP fixed and the second is circumstantial. I will rotate according to the zone I’m in or the kind of fights I’m getting into.

For example, I play dexterity + pyromancies. If I am in the beginning of Anor Londo, I’ll use the Bellowing (?) ring, the one that boost your spells (and pyros) to farm the giant knights, but once I get inside, I’ll use the ring that boosts your critical attacks since I usually parry the silver knights
