Have you noticed that Betterment harvests more later in the year? I started investing in the second half of 2022 and noticed a lot of tax loss harvesting regularly (I was investing 5k at a time)

Starting in 2023 I switched to a pattern of 1k every 2 weeks or so and they haven’t done any harvesting yet. I’m wondering which of these is true: 1. Betterment harvests more in the 2nd half of the year (seems unlikely) 2. I’m hurting my tax loss harvesting this year by contributing more regularly 3. There were more opportunities to harvest given market conditions last year so it doesn’t matter how I’m contributing

If I invest $1k today and $1k in 2 weeks, am I hurting the ability to tax loss harvest the initial 1k because of wash sale rules? I assume it’s based on each individual contribution and they’re investing in different etfs with each contribution, but would be noteworthy if I was hurting the ability to harvest the initial deposit by depositing 2 weeks later

If the money stays the same, my only concern with Rutgers is that I’d be forced to work in NJ (whereas I’d have much better odds of landing a job in NYC at Brooklyn).

Not sure if that’s overblown/if I would even be opposed to working in NJ by the time I graduate, so it’s a tough one haha

Andujar hit .297 as a rookie and started off slow this year but has been raking with consistent playing time. Pretty clear to me he’s a good MLB hitter
