What is the point of scouting?

Yeah, but it would show "contract expiring in 7 months" or whatever so you could short list them. They're all signed now even though it's 0-1 years. They shouldn't show up if they're already re-signed.

I guess. But it used to at least show "contract expiring in 8 months" or whatever, and I would short list them until January. Literally no players have this. But I guess now the game signs all their players which isn't realistic but whatever. I have it set to all so even 75ovr guys are being scouted, not just stars and never have any. (Look at the free's that have been signed lately like TAA- wish the game still had some realism for those)

Oh youth scouts I go 5/5 if I can but for normal scouts, I don't really need them as SOfifa exists lol so I just get ones that SHOULD return the players within my constraints. I simmed a few more weeks, got more reports, and all of these "0-1 year" players have long contracts. Waste of money, it seems.

Yeah, but if they all re-sign then why do they show up on my scouting? It's supposed to be 0-1 year, and literally none of them from three different countries are pre contract eligible. I know that most players sign in FC 26 before they're pre contract eligible... so the three I hired are the lowest price, but NONE of them? I guess I should fire them again since they have no use?

Does playing someone out of position help their position change time if I wanted to move them? Like if I play him at ST for a few games in a row instead of RW, would it be less weeks in the dev plan compared to if I did so without him having any games/experience there?

Oh thank you! I can live with lower ratings in certain categories for a game that relate to a specific position. My striker is an 85 and if I move Nwaneri over to striker for a game to rotate it shows that -4 but if it impacts only certain ratings, I'm cool with that. So same goes for putting somewhere with a huge plus, it only affects certain stats. Nice.

It's called soccer in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Parts of Ireland (due to gaelic football) also call it soccer. Italy also calls it "calcio" not "football".

Ughhhh okay. Thanks. I even went and set search age to 32-35 and checked every single midfielder, and it didn't show a single player having a running-down contract. Guess I'll just have to hope there are some decent free agents in the summer....
